Utilizing expertise built over her own career behind mics and editing software, Jennifer Longworth helps new podcasters get up and running with their shows and aids established podcasters by enhancing audio to minimize distractions through her firm Bourbon Barrel Podcasting.

“Being an editor from Central Kentucky who focuses on Central Kentucky clients sets me apart from the other thousands of podcast editors out there,” Longworth explained. “I co-founded the Lexington Podcasters in 2018 because I knew that I couldn’t possibly be the only podcaster in the area. I want others to know that they are not alone and that I’m here to help them along their podcast journey. I guess it all comes down to wanting to help people.”

Longworth has been invited to speak at numerous national podcast industry conferences and is involved in networking groups like Women Leading Kentucky and Commerce Lexington. As a local leader in the podcasting field, she has distilled some valuable advice.

“Find your niche audience and serve them well,” she recommended. “Niching down provides greater clarity and direction. The riches are in the niches.”
