THE Story
Matilda JR. is the story of an extraordinary little girl with a sharp mind, a vivid imagination and the courage to stand up for what’s right. Despite her unpleasant home life with her neglectful parents, Matilda finds joy in books and learning. When she starts school, she discovers a kindred spirit in her gentle teacher, Miss Honey. She also comes face-to-face with the domineering headmistress, Miss Trunchbull, who rules with an iron fist.
Armed with intelligence, bravery, and a touch of magical powers, Matilda sets out to take a stand against injustice and change her own destiny. With the help of her classmates and Miss Honey, Matilda proves that even the smallest person can make a big difference.

It has been an absolute pleasure working with the Year 6 cast of 2025. Their dedication, enthusiasm, and hard work in bringing Matilda JR. to life has been truly inspiring. Throughout the rehearsal process, they have developed invaluable skills in teamwork, confidence and independence, qualities they will carry with them throughout their school journey.
