InJanuarywedecidedto organiseastreetBBQwithanother churchfamilyonourstreet.Wewent doorknocking,gaveinvitestoour neighboursandorganisedtomeetin ourfrontyard.Weendeduphaving fivefamiliesjoinusforalovely eveningBBQ.Itwasagreat opportunitytogettoknowour neighbours,andpeoplewerereally gratefultobeinvited!Wehavesince becomemorefriendlywithour neighbours,andeveninvitedthemto ourEasterservice(although unfortunatelytheydidn'tcomealong).
I'mthankfulforthe opportunitytohandoutEaster eggstotraincommutersand advertisechurchevents.We facesomeresistanceinour multi-faithorno-faithworld,but I'mencouragedthatmanytook theeggsandleafletswitha smileandathankyou.Let’s praythattheLordoftheharvest wouldblessourcommunity.

Oneofthebigencouragementsinourresidential agedcareministrieshasbeentoseeresidentssingingand givingencouragingfeedbackonhowtheyhavebeen encouragedbyourmeetings.Irecalllookingacrossatan elderlyladysinging"IamtrustingTheeLordJesus"fromher recliningwheelchair.Also,seeingToongabbieTerrace residentsjoyfullyandmeaningfullysinging,"yes,I'llsingthe wondrousstory,oftheChristwhodiedforme.Singitwiththe saintsinglory,gatheredbythecrystalsea"wassouplifting!
