EXERCISE 1: Articulating Edge What is Artificial Embankment Like?

Breakwater is the first answer comes into my mind. From small to big scale, the landforms it build are quite different. As modular single, individual breakwater is in order. In the middle scale, a cluster of breakwaters create some disorder and gashes which let water comes in and interacts with land. In the big scale, breakwaters integrate as a whole embankment. The sequence, from order to disorder and finally back to order, is the initial idea of the trianglewater embankment.

EXERCISE 2 Pattern + Permeability The spatial agenda of the scheme is physical connectivity. The concept of this concept is about paths, edges and nodes that are basic elements for people to remember and experience spaces in small scale. The scheme tries to discuss the relationship between edges of permeable ground and hard pavements. It connects the spaces through paths and creates nodes in specific space.
