Saturday Stats: 8 games played of which 4 were home wins, 3 away wins and 1 draw.

Saturday Stats: The 8 games produced a total of 36 goals, an average of 4.50 per game. Aikins Math (St Panteleimon) and Jamie Cerminara (Ampthill Town) both netting hat tricks.

Premier Division

In the day’s only Premier Division fixture to beat the weather, fourth placed St Panteleimon defeated visiting third placed Crawley Green 4-0 to close the gap to just one point between them.

Division One

Just four games beat the weather in Division One, with second placed Rugby Borough closing the gap at the top to twelve points following their 3-1 home success against Langford. Elsewhere Ampthill Town remain fifth after winning 6-2 at struggling Wellingborough Whitworth v Ampthill Town, Ampthill Town went three up in the first 10 minutes with goals from Sam Holmes (2m), Phil Draycott 7m) and Jamie Cerminara (10m). Nathan Heycock pulled one back from a corner and Kobi Bivens scored a penalty to make it 3-2 at the break. Amps secured the points after the break with goals from Holmes and a brace from Cerminara to complete his hat trick. In the battle for play-off places Northampton ON Chenecks won 3-1 at Eaton Socon while Moulton FC saw off visiting Winslow United 5-3.

NORTHANTS LES UNDERWOOD JUNIOR CUP Third Round

Rushden & Higham United advanced into the quarter finals of the Les Underwood Junior Cup with a goal in each half against Corby Stewart & Lloyds, the game being switched to Corby following last week’s postponement.

Division Two

Milton Keynes College Football Academy and visitors Sarratt played out a 2-2 draw in the only Division Two game to beat the weather.

BEDS SENIOR TROPHY Second Round

Leighton Town Development booked their place in the next round of the Beds Senior Trophy with a 2-0 win at Beds County League side Caldecote, both goals coming late in the game.
