Welcome to the Holiday Season! Halloween is now behind us, and we have Thanksgiving, Football, Christ mas, and New Years to look forward to! I know I am ready to hear those slay bells Ringling and Christmas carols playing on the radio, but not till the day after Thanksgiving! I do hope ev eryone loves this time of the season as much as I do, especially here in Florida. We can see the snow and visit it, but it never snows here, thank goodness! This is the best riding weather also as it’s hot in the day and cold at night, the nights are longer than the days are and it time to close out 2022 and bring in 2023! Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Love your family and friends and tell them every time you talk to them!
November 5th is the Full Throttle 26th An niversary party at Lead Foot City in Brooksville. This place is amazing and what they are building is going to be even better! We have so much going on for that day it’s almost too much! First, we are giving away $2,600 FOR FREE!!! All you have to do is sign up at the Full Throttle Tent and put your name, number and email address (legibly) and we will be pulling winners all day long and giving away cash. We have two bands rocking the stage and a DJ, first we start with Jeff Vitolo and the Quarter Mile Rebels, my fa vorite rock-a-billy band in the area! Jeff is also a great family friend and a perfect fit for Lead Foot City. Then we have a DJ playing in the middle of the day be cause that’s when we do our bike show awards, the slow race, bikini contest and all the cash prize give-aways. We will also have a few MMA fights happening
throughout the day which is something I have never seen done before at a motorcy cle event so that should be new and fun to watch. Then we end the day with a concert by the Bearded Brothers Band. We hope everyone can come out and celebrate our anniversary with us and Lead Foot City and have a chance to leave with some of our money!
St. Pete Bike Fest also returns this month November 17th – 20th. There is so much happening at this event it is crazy. You will have vendors at three different locations, Bert’s Barracuda, Quaker Steak and Lube and at the England Brothers Park up the road about 2 miles from Bert’s Barracuda and OCC Roadhouse. Besides all the great vendors and the new locations, they have some amazing bands rock ing the stage starting on Thursday night with The Georgia Thunderbolts and Black Stone Cherry. Friday night they have Tim Montana and Craig Morgan and Saturday night they have David Cook and Scott Stapp of Creed. This is an amazing lineup of music! Full Throttle will be putting on a 15-class bike show on Saturday at OCC Roadhouse and Bert’s Barracuda with registration from 11am till 3pm and awards at 4pm. Be sure to check out their Facebook page and our Facebook page as we will be posting about the event and all the time everything will be happening all weekend.
This is the time of the season that all the charity rides and food drives are happening also so do all you can for those less fortunate and in need this time of the year. The Fran Haasch Law Group has their huge food drive on November 4th and that goes to FEAST Food Pantry and other close by food pantries. December has a ton of great toy runs that all go to needy families. There are a lot so be sure to do as many as you can if you are capable. Bert’s Barracuda Huge Toy ride is always the First Sunday in December, this is a LONG, police escorted ride so be sure to top off your tanks and get those clutch hands ready for a great ride around St. Pete.
Let’s get out there and ride in this beautiful weather we have here in Florida! Be safe out there while riding, drink plenty of water and don’t drink and ride. Happy Thanksgiving to all, eat lot’s of tur key and stuffing and cranberry sauce.

Schedule:
It was on a Friday night at a local biker joint. After meeting a first date from a stupid dating app. First date was so uninterest ing I caught myself distracted by a young couple appearing to be in an intense discussion. Both were in their late 20s. He was a patch bearer. After my date and I kindly dismissed each other I went on my business talking to another biker. He and I were the only two in the joint with sports bikes so we chat ted up. Bike this, bike that and so on.
Few minutes later my new buddy and I were overpowered in our discussion by the young couple a few feet away who was now in a full-blown argu ment. Clearly agitated it became evident both of them were trying their best to communicate. That visibly and audibly only gave rise to more mutual frustration. It was painfully embarrassing to witness. I could see the young man growing into a pressure cooker state about to explode. Red faced, agitated, frustrated, irritated. She wasn’t so loud. Small in stature she appeared equally frustrated but more in control of her demeanor.
The situation culminated to such a point, the young man screamed out of rage and frustrations. He literally exploded with anger. Like a young child who just cant get what he wants or place a word with his mom. My buddy and I stood there. Had this guy lifted a finger on the girl, patch or no patch he was going down I assure you.
Turns out all he did was letting steam off. That’s probably all he knew to do to deal with intense emotions. Unable to practice healthy manageable com munication he let it out the only way he knew how. And that my fellow biker friends is where we (me included) need to start getting our shit together and own our mind. I felt bad for this guy. I felt bad for her yes but mostly for him. I could feel his frustration. Emo tional overload in his mind. Unable to process the information coming from his emotions, from his girlfriend, analyze it internally and for mulate effective concise responses to resolve whatever it was they were arguing about. This is a painful state of mind which most of us have experienced or witnessed.
Why is it both genders now don’t listen to each other any more? We listen to respond and we don’t listen to understand!
Someone told me repeatedly when I was married that “a soft answer turns away wrath”. Stubborn me I decided to prac tice that only too late after my divorce. I then discovered the incredible power of kindness in the face of conflicts. There are limits I know. Self defense has its place but for the most part, any argument can be defused and well man aged.
Problem is us men have not been taught how to process, analyze and manage emotions. To be honest, most of us don’t even want to bother…until it hits us where it truly hurts… then we feel like lost puppies. If we did own this space in our heads I promise you we would not be portrayed as dumb as the majority of media likes to portray us. Problem too with most women is they rely too much on emo tions. Not all. Most. Don’t crucify me here ladies! We all should know emotions can sure be unreliable! So what do we do? I’m not talking about us having to be vulnerable here at all. I’m saying we need to pay attention to what’s going on inside our heads and hearts, recognize it, deal with it, own it and then respond in a way that gives justice to the situation leaving everyone with their dignity. We need to let the other speak freely without interruption so we can understand them. Ask questions after. Be kind in our delivery.
In your dreams you’ll say? I don’t think so. Give it a try. Give yourself a chance. I did. It works. 100%. It takes a lot of work but I promise you will own your space and your boundaries will even tually be respected. Some of my favor ite books/resources have been Jordan Peterson’s 12 Rules of Life, Andrew Tate, the bible, The Four Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz, The Way of the Peaceful Warrior by Dan Millman, The Alchemist by Paolo Cohelo, Care of the Soul by Thomas Moore etc….
I always tell my children; “There is nothing wrong with anger or feeling angry. It’s a natural hu man emotion and a gift that has its place. Its what we do with it and how we handle it that matters”. Men, women, own your space with kindness. www.facebook.com/floridanighttrain IG: Florida_Night_Train
