First, I would like to wish everyone a very happy Thanksgiving! This is the best time of the year in my opinion! Great food, family, and friends. I am very blessed to still have my family around and I am looking forward to Thanksgiving Day Dinner! Be sure to try and help the less fortunate out there as well. Fran Haasch’s Annual Food Drive is Friday November 5th. This goes to local food pantries in the Palm Harbor and surrounding areas. They help so many people around this time and I know the FEAST food pantry needs everything currently! The past few years they received so much in donations that they were able to help other pantries in the surrounding area. Fran Is Amazing and gives back so much to the community. If you ever need an attorney for a car or motorcycle accident, Call Fran at 866-LAW-FRAN. The Second huge event happening in November is the Full Throttle Magazine 25th Anniversary Party! We will be Giving away $2,500 in cash ($10 for every year we have been around) 100% FREE!!!! All you have to do is sign up at the Full Throttle Booth the Day of the Event and you must be present to win the cash! We will pull 5 - $100 winners every hour on the Hour! We also have our annual slow race, a new cornhole tournament, tons of vendors, a $500 Bikini Contest, A Bike Show with J-sizzle concepts trophies and much more! This is a huge day and will be held at OCC Roadhouse and Bert’s Barracuda Harley! Come out and win some money and have a good time! Also, if you

are looking for a great place to stay, get in contact with camp easy ride! Their ad is in our magazine. The Third event is a huge event that I am very excited about! LEESBURG BIKE FEST!!!! This is at a new time as it has been in April normally when it is outrageously hot. This year Full Throttle will be hosting a bike show on Friday (like we always have) and now we are also running the Saturday Bike Show that was always normally the Rats Hole Bike Show! This is a Huge Bike Show that gets a lot of bikes entered in it. The Friday bike show is a normal 10 class bike show with trophies for 1st place and Full Throttle Choice and Best In Show. The Saturday Bike Show will be a 15-class bike show with trophies for 1st and 2nd place and also Full Throttle Choice and Best In Show! We are very excited for this, and I would like to thank The Leesburg Partnership for giving us this opportunity! We have been a part of Leesburg Bike Fest for a very long time! The fourth Event is St. Pete Beach Bike Fest happening at Bert’s barracuda and OCC Roadhouse! This has some great bands playing all weekend like Autograph, Saving Able, Tobacco Road Band, Locash, Saliva and Night Ranger on Saturday night. They have really stepped up and got some great bands this year! Some bands will be playing on the stage in OCC and they are bringing in a huge stage for the national acts and that will be in the riders edge area behind the pavilion. There will be tons of Vendors and Full Throttle will be putting on a bike show Saturday at Bert’s and Sunday over at Quaker Steak and Lube. They will also have bends and vendors at Quaker for this event. I hope everyone has a great November, I hope the weather starts the cool down a little and let’s start getting ready for all the wonderful toy runs that happen in December! Be safe, ride smart, don’t drink and ride and I’ll see you somewhere for sure this month!

Happy Holidays from all of us over here at Full Throttle. I hope to see everyone at our 25th Anniversary party Nov 7th @ Berts/OCC. I should be dreading the holidays, being a single parent is usually stressful. Not this year. I said it was my year and I meant that ! I'm letting it all roll off as it should. Not much can disturb the peace I'm finding these days. Money is secondary if you know me. I will admit that after the TIFF awareness ride Oct 23rd which was epic , I was sad to not be on a bike. I followed along in a car with the jeeps which was a very cool switch for me (we definitely need a Full throttle Jeep Tony). But that pang of jealousy when I saw everyone take off with the sun on their face, the smell, the sound, the easy way they seemed to glide over the curves in front of me brought it all back. I miss riding. That's the hard part about this job for

14

me some days. I replace that empty feeling with the excitement of a job or event well done, or more often a charity helped. It's not all sitting on the sidelines with the bikes though, I've been taking courses on judging and did my first solo show at “Beyond Bikes' 1 year anniversary bash with the help of longtime bike show enthusiast/contestant George Frabotta. Thank you for your confidenceTony ! And everyone thought I could be bribed with food truck fare for trophies. Come on, it's going to at LEAST take a vacation to Key West ( 1 adult , 2 kids, 1 dog, balcony room preferred, flexible on dates, minimum 3 night stay ) Just kidding!! I want five nights. Peace and love to the Biker world , Laurie Jo

Diva Angels Tampa Bay Chapter has been very busy since the OUR Ride and collections for the Kind Mouse. We are out and about riding and building great friendships during our lovely fall weather. Italy Day was celebrated with Diva Christine's sister opening her lovely beach home and teaching us how to make homemade pasta and cooking a couple pots of delicious spaghetti sauces... It was so cute, Trisha and Charlie were having a bit of competition themselves, they EACH cooked a pot of their 'special sauce'. Both sauces were awesome, I went for both the spicy and the meat sauce, and did not care if they mixed because they were both spectacular. We all had a great time with her family, celebrating friends and family... We decided this was the First Annual Italy Day celebration 😊 But the cookie cook-off idea sounds yummy too!

Tithe Blessings, the Diva Angels's passed around a semolina bag and the donations went to help a single mother at the Chicken Church on Madeira Beach. Many thanks for the great memories!! This is such a typical story; I am embarrassed writing about it. I admit I am a stubborn hard-headed “know it all” sometimes. Depending on who you talk to they might say “all the time”. Just in case there are more like me out there, I want to share this story so maybe you will learn and save yourself time and money. The old values and the old sayings are there for good reasons! You know? The ones along the lines of “you get what you pay for” and “you reap what you sow” or, “you get what you deserve”? My Harley felt lonely, so I decided to get some company for him. Moramoto back in early 2021 helped me get my dream bike; a BMW s1000rr. This beast top speeds at ~200mph out the box and makes the envy of many sport riders including cruise riders might I say. Moramoto had the foresight to offer me an extended warranty with EFG (efgcompanies.com). Hear me out! This is not the type of extended warranty company that will give you unsolicited calls repeatedly like others do. They don’t need to. After a forty years track record, it stands for good reasons. Before any of you accuse me of doing a shameless plug, think again. This is a true story and there is absolutely zero benefit for me in writing this by any party. My reward and hope is that some poor soul out there might learn a good lesson through this piece and that I might spare them some time and money. Fast forward to about May 2021 my bike (I call it “Morpheus”) showed a “DDT” code. It just was not riding right. Not thinking my bike is one of the most advanced racing pieces of machinery needing high-end expertise/diagnostic tools, I wanted to save time and money by taking it to a bike shop closer to me regardless. I know. Stupid. I have an extended warranty I thought so I’ll be fine. Shop owner (who shall remain nameless) talked a good talk for sure. Seemed busy and was close to me. I left Morpheus there. In fairness to the shop owner, they had good intentions, but they just did not have the tools or knowledge to handle my bike. They were in over their heads…and toolbox. They attempted to take me into an elimination discovery process on my dime at an hourly rate of ~$125/hr. Several hours into it after using my extended EFG warranty to “replace” a ~$1,200.00 ECU, many unreturned phone calls, emails, texts and messengers, I got my bike back this time with a “DDC” code within five minutes of riding it. I should add that this process took nearly 3 months. I missed Morpheus as if it was part of my heart-beat. Then what? Well, I sheepishly saw my error for what it was and took Morpheus to the BMW guys in Tampa. Came to find out the issue involved another ECU type of component along with wiring connectivity. Thing is, that particular ECU component was not quite as clearly called under the warranty as the original ECU and so by contract and understandably EFG declined this 2nd claim. Now I was looking at well over ~$2,000.00 and more time

separated from Morpheus. Had I taken it straight there in the first place I would have wasted a lot less time…and money. Not knowing I write for magazines using motorcycling as a “bridge” of sort, this is where EFG really stepped up to the plate. I called in to further discuss my second claim with them. After several calls between the BMW tech and EFG, my claim was elevated to a more knowledgeable adjuster. The adjuster was super knowledgeable and courteous. I highly advise to remain calm and non-confrontational when you call adjusters. He spoke to me with clarity, verbal precision and professionally so I could understand the intricacies of my Morpheus. It became a dialogue rather than a controlling confrontation. After careful consideration and in-depth discussion on the language of the warranty, it dawned on the adjuster and I that the second ECU functionality could be interpreted as much essential to the 1st ECU therefore making it fall under the warranty by its very nature. EFG honored my 2nd warranty claim and Morpheus and I were reunited freely coming in and out of this mad matrix. Had I not dealt with the team at Moramoto offering me EFG, had I not bought EFG and had I not taken my Morpheus to the BMW team, I would be out well over ~$5,000.00 maybe even more with this other shop. Point here is obvious, you get what you pay for. I got what I deserved because I did not use good judgment and I took someone’s good intentions at face value. Consequences; a bunch of headaches, frustrations, wasted time, money and energy. EFG Companies exists for one reason only: to protect you by protecting your investment. Your vehicle is probably one of the most expensive purchases you’ll ever make. That’s why EFG focuses on safeguarding your investment with Repair, Maintenance and Appearance Protection Products that keep you worry-free and your vehicle looking factory-fresh. They’ve got you covered with repair and maintenance products, debt protection products, and appearance protection products. If you have an accident or your vehicle breaks down, EFG’s ultra-responsive Claims Administration team can steer you clear of the hassles and runarounds that are often associated with making a claim. Whether you are driving a new or used vehicle, an RV or a motorcycle, EFG is ready to get you back on the road as quickly as possible. I highly recommend both, dealers and buyers to consider including EFG in all their transactions for peace of mind when the need arises. Now my Harley is ticked because I am only playing with Morpheus. www.facebook.com/floridanighttrain
