July - October 2024

As the warmth of summer graces Tonbridge and we look forward to the transition into autumn, our town’s calendar is packed with exciting events that celebrate our vibrant community spirit. From lively festivals to cultural performances, there’s something for everyone to enjoy in the coming months.

July kicks off with our much-loved Tonbridge Music Weekend where you can experience an eclectic mix of live music performances. Bring your friends and family, relax, and enjoy a weekend of fantastic music under the summer sun. This event promises a delightful atmosphere for all.

August brings Tonbridge Pride, a vibrant celebration of diversity and inclusion. Join us for a parade filled with colourful displays, music, and activities that highlight the unity and strength of our community. It’s a wonderful opportunity to show your support and have a fantastic time with friends and family.

September heralds the return of the annual, iconic Dragon Boat Race. Teams from across the area will compete in this thrilling event on the River Medway, showcasing teamwork and community spirit. Spectators can enjoy the excitement from the riverbanks, with plenty of food and drink stalls adding to the festive atmosphere.

As we move into October, our town continues to buzz with activities. The autumn months are a great time to explore local markets, attend workshops, and enjoy the beautiful changing scenery of our parks and outdoor spaces.

In these busy months ahead, let’s continue to show our support for local businesses, events, and community groups. They are the lifeblood of our town, facing their own set of financial challenges. By choosing to spend locally, we not only invest in our community but also contribute to its vibrancy and resilience. Together, let’s keep Tonbridge thriving and full of life.

Here’s to a summer and autumn filled with memorable moments and community joy!

Tonbridge Town Team

What is the Tonbridge Town Team?

The Tonbridge Town Team was established as a result of the Portas Review published in 2011. The main aim is help make Tonbridge a vibrant and exciting place to live, work, visit and do business. The team achieve this by linking together businesses, local government, charities, clubs and the population as a whole.

There are lots of organisations, businesses and individuals who are doing fantastic things in Tonbridge and so the team set out to work with them and celebrate their achievements. They can make even more of an impact on the town by encouraging innovation and entrepreneurialism, and by building on the community spirit that exists in Tonbridge and the surrounding area.

The town team’s vision is an inclusive one that values all members of the community and seeks to build bridges and enable all to prosper in the surrounding area.

By working together and concentrating on what we can do rather than what we can’t, by being open to new ideas and matching enthusiasm with patient resolve we can continue to make our community not just a good place, but a great place to live.
