A very extra special welcome to our Spring/Summer season here at St. Helens Theatre Royal! I am writing to you with a full heart, following our record-breaking run of Cinderella! The production made national news all around the UK as ITV Granada, Good Morning Britain and BBC News reported our “Pay What You Can” show. For our final performance, we gave away over 400 tickets to those most affected by the cost-of-living crisis. This was our way of giving back to the community, who have supported us for over 20 years. Thank you to all our patrons and audiences for making Cinderella one of our most successful and critically acclaimed Panto seasons yet!
Regal Entertainments are thrilled to announce that we have more spectacular Pantomimes coming to our theatre this year. Not forgetting our tale as old as time, with Beauty and the Beast this Easter. Regal have just announced that our Christmas pantomime for 2023 will be the magical spectacle - Aladdin!
International Superstar, Lulu, is performing on the Theatre Royal stage this year! With #1 touring comedians - including Sarah Millican - we promise a laugh a minute! Ricky Tomlinson is back by popular demand in Irish Annie’s. St. Helens favourites, The Lancashire Hotpots, make their triumphant return to our stage! There are world class tribute acts, including Belinda Davids in The Greatest Love of All. Not forgetting Gary Barlow & Robbie Williams, Meatloaf, Abba, Billy Joel, Luther Vandross, Elvis, Queen and many more!

For over two decades, Regal Entertainments have been operation management of St. Helens Theatre Royal. In 2020, we decided to purchase the theatre and invest in our community. St. Helens Theatre Royal is home to Regal Entertainments spectacular family pantomimes, producing over four spectacular shows a year! These include: Cinderella, Aladdin, Jack and the Beanstalk, Sleeping Beauty, Goldilocks & The Three Bears, Peter Pan and many more!
St. Helens Theatre Royal are committed to the health and safety of our attendees, staff and patrons. Though we have come a long way in managing and living with Covid-19, we recognise some people may be vulnerable. Therefore, we continue to take the following precautions:
• Hand sanitizing stations will remain and all patrons will be asked to sanitize on entry.
• The air circulation system will remain on full and antibacterial fogging of the auditorium will take place on every performance day.
• We will be respectfully requesting audience members who are vulnerable to wear face coverings unless exempt when in the building and while watching the performance.
• If you feel unwell or have any of the following symptoms, please do not attend: A high temperature, a new continuous cough, a loss or change in sense of smell or taste and a sore throat.

NEW INTAKES FOR MARCH 2023
These classes run from 10am – 12pm at St Helens Theatre Royal.
The children work towards 2 performances a year, which are performed at Theatre Royal. We can arrange a “buddy” friend in case your child is a little shy or nervous, but we find all children settle in easily after the first couple of weeks.
The cost per child is £6 a week.
Simply turn up at the Theatre Box Office and register that morning before the class starts. If you would like any further information, do not hesitate to contact us.

There are a number of wheelchair spaces available for each performance and the theatre is accessible to wheelchair users via a ramp at the main entrance. Please inform the Box Office of your requirements when booking your tickets and go to reception on arrival.
