St. Helens favourites Tim Lucas and Lewis Devine are back for more side-splitting mischief! There’s even a state of the art, West-End inspired flying carpet! There’s so much to look forward to… Music legend Marti Pellow brings his most intimate show ever to Theatre Royal! Sarah Millichan promises a laugh a minute with her Late Bloomer’s tour. We have the UK premier tour of By The Waters of Liverpooladapted from Helen Forrester’s million-selling book. There is October half term entertainment for the whole family in Regal Pantomime Jack and the Beanstalk. The Time Traveller performs past life regressions on our audiences. Strictly Champion Giovanni Pernice is back with a brand-new show and there are world class tribute acts from Abba to Ed Sheeran to tickle all music lovers taste buds!

Hope, Marketing OfficerFor over two decades, Regal Entertainments have been operation management of St. Helens Theatre Royal. In 2020, we decided to purchase the theatre and invest in our community. St. Helens Theatre Royal is home to Regal Entertainments spectacular family pantomimes, producing over four spectacular shows a year! These include: Cinderella, Aladdin, Jack and the Beanstalk, Sleeping Beauty, Goldilocks & The Three Bears, Peter Pan and many more!
St. Helens Theatre Royal are committed to the health and safety of our attendees, staff and patrons. Though we have come a long way in managing and living with Covid-19, we recognise some people may be vulnerable. Therefore, we continue to take the following precautions:
• Hand sanitizing stations will remain and all patrons will be asked to sanitize on entry.
• The air circulation system will remain on full and antibacterial fogging of the auditorium will take place on every performance day.
• We will be respectfully requesting audience members who are vulnerable to wear face coverings unless exempt when in the building and while watching the performance.

NEW INTAKES FOR SEPTEMBER 2023
These classes run from 10am – 12pm at St Helens Theatre Royal.
The children work towards 2 performances a year, which are performed at Theatre Royal. We can arrange a “buddy” friend in case your child is a little shy or nervous, but we find all children settle in easily after the first couple of weeks.
The cost per child is £6 a week.
Simply turn up at the Theatre Box Office and register that morning before the class starts. If you would like any further information, do not hesitate to contact us.

There are a number of wheelchair spaces available for each performance and the theatre is accessible to wheelchair users via a ramp at the main entrance. Please inform the Box Office of your requirements when booking your tickets and go to reception on arrival.

Taken out of school to look after her young siblings, Helen is treated as an unpaid slave. So begins a bitter fight with her parents for the right to go out to work and make her own way in life. But by 1939 and with Britain on the verge of war, Helen now aged 20, has still never been kissed by a man. But things start looking up for her when she meets a tall strong seaman and falls in love.
