Dear Friends,
![]()

Dear Friends,
Our mission is to help families tackle childhood cancer by providing financial, emotional and practical support. From diagnosis to recovery and beyond, we are part of the team, allowing parents to focus on their child’s well-being. Our goal is to BE THERE for parents facing the unthinkable so they can BE THERE for their families.
In football, we talk about consistency, discipline, and showing up every day. Those same values have defined your unwavering support of the Jay Fund. For 31 years, I’ve had the privilege of watching communities do what great teams do: show up for each other through thick and thin.
You have turned moments of uncertainty into stability. You have provided strength where it was needed most. Most remarkably, you have done it with a level of commitment that makes an old-school coach believe in the good in humanity. Because of that commitment, families have never had to face childhood cancer alone.
The Jay Fund grew out of a promise I made at the funeral of Jay McGillis -- to help families facing childhood cancer. When I became the first head coach of the Jacksonville Jaguars, the Jay Fund truly began to take shape and gave me the opportunity to make good on my word.
Later, as head coach of the New York Giants, we were proud to expand the Jay Fund’s mission to New York and New Jersey, supporting even more families tackling childhood cancer.
What started as a small effort is now a lasting source of help and hope for those who need it most. Not because of any one person, and certainly not because of me, but because of a community that understood the game plan. When there is a need, you meet it. When there is a family struggling, you step in, for this simple reason: it’s the right thing to do.
Thank you for your generosity, your loyalty, and your unwavering belief in taking care of one another. No one fights childhood cancer alone. It takes a team. Thank you for being a part of ours.
With gratitude,

Coach Tom Coughlin Founder, Tom Coughlin Jay Fund Foundation

Dear Friends,
This year marks a very special milestone for the Tom Coughlin Jay Fund. For 31 years, families facing childhood cancer have counted on the Jay Fund team to provide the financial and emotional assistance needed during some of life’s most difficult moments. As many of you know, the number 31 is especially significant to us, as it’s the number Jay proudly wore as a player at Boston College. I have always been inspired by Jay’s story, and now, it’s the inspiring stories of the children and families we serve that fuel me each day.
Throughout this 31st Anniversary year, we will honor Jay’s legacy and reflect on what we’ve accomplished together in support of families facing childhood cancer. We will also recognize the tremendous contributions of those who’ve made it all possible.
While we are proud of what has been accomplished over the past 31 years, our work is far from finished. With new diagnoses every day and evolving economic challenges, the demand is greater than ever for the Jay Fund’s critical services and support. While our playbook must evolve to meet families’ emerging needs, our goals remain the same: to ensure families have the support needed to face the challenges ahead. As we consider what lies ahead, we are steadfast in our commitment to BE THERE for parents facing the unthinkable. Your support will write the next chapter of Jay’s story, ensuring that we continue to serve all families who need us most.
Thank you for being a valued member of the team families can always count on. Because of your generosity, families facing childhood cancer have a trusted source of hope and support today, tomorrow and for generations to come.
With gratitude,

Keli Coughlin Joyce

The Tom Coughlin Jay Fund’s 31st Annual Celebrity Golf Classic, held in partnership with THE PLAYERS at TPC Sawgrass, raised a record-breaking $1.4 million to support families tackling childhood cancer. The two-day event brought together athletes, community leaders, sponsors, donors, volunteers and supporters to recognize the impact of the Jay Fund’s mission and launch the organization’s 31st anniversary year, honoring namesake Jay McGillis and the legacy behind number 31.
Because of the extraordinary generosity of our community, the Jay Fund will continue growing alongside the evolving needs of families and expanding the impact of our mission — ensuring no family fights childhood cancer alone.

When Chelsea welcomed her daughter Mary into the world on March 22, 2025, she expected to spend her newborn’s first days soaking in every precious moment. Instead, just hours after birth, doctors discovered a tumor on Mary’s leg, launching the family into a journey they never anticipated.
After weeks of testing, Mary was diagnosed with Infantile Fibrosarcoma, a rare childhood cancer. Throughout her first year, she underwent scans, procedures and treatment while her family balanced the demands of caring for a child with cancer alongside her older siblings, Paul and Alice.
“There were constant appointments, bloodwork and moments that felt overwhelming,” Chelsea said. “But through it all, Mary kept going.” Despite the challenges, Mary continued to grow, smile and reach every milestone. “She is full of joy—a force of nature that I stand in awe of as her mother.”
Early in their cancer journey, during one of Mary’s first oncology appointments, the family’s social worker introduced them to the Jay Fund. She assured Chelsea that the Jay Fund would support their family so they could focus on Mary—and that is exactly what happened.

From practical support like mortgage assistance and meals to special moments for Mary’s siblings and ongoing encouragement, the Jay Fund helped ease the burden during an incredibly difficult time. “One of the first things they gave us was a binder to organize Mary’s medical information, with a gift card tucked inside,” Chelsea recalled. “That simple gesture meant that someone understood how hard this was and that we weren’t alone.”
Today, Chelsea is grateful to share that Mary’s scans show no signs of cancer. While the family continues to move forward with hope, they remain thankful for the support that carried them through their most challenging days.
“Because of the Jay Fund’s support, I was able to stand strong for my daughter,” Chelsea said.

24 siblings of oncology patients enjoyed a sweet morning at the Sweet Pete’s Lollipop Lab, creating blue strawberry-flavored lollipops and taking home four treats each. The event gave siblings an opportunity to connect and enjoy a fun experience just for them.

Moms celebrated Mother’s Day with a bouquet-making class at Got Flowers JAX, creating beautiful floral arrangements in a relaxing, hands-on experience focused on creativity, mindfulness and self-care.

REMEMBRANCE WEEKEND
19 families gathered for a Remembrance Weekend focused on connection, healing and support. Through therapeutic activities for all ages and a moving candlelight service, families found comfort in community and the reminder that they are not alone in their grief.

Parents learned practical budgeting and money management strategies at a financial wellness workshop led by First Florida Credit Union. Parents were also introduced to helpful community and national support resources.

AND
Decked out in Super Mario-themed costumes, Coach Tom Coughlin, Coach Juan Carlos Amoros, Coach John Harbaugh, Eli Manning, Shaun O’Hara and Midge Purce joined Jay Fund families for a day of go-kart racing and surprised each family with a $5,000 transportation grant to help ease the burden of traveling to and from treatment.

Families enjoyed a fun-filled day at the Giants Sundae Blitz at The GAMEROOM Powered by Hasbro, featuring video games, laser tag, claw machines and over-the-top ice cream sundaes. Current and former New York Giants players joined the fun, creating memorable moments with families throughout the day.

Funded by generous donors, the Tom Coughlin Jay Fund Foundation scholarships were established to offer hope beyond cancer, providing financial support to help cancer patients and survivors achieve their educational goals. Winners are chosen based on academic achievement, moral character, attitude and resilience.

Each ambassador is committed to advance our mission of BEing THERE for families tackling childhood cancer through community outreach, events, and storytelling initiatives.

Impact Players are individuals, groups or organizations outside of the Jay Fund who give back by hosting fundraising campaigns to support Jay Fund families.

The 2nd Annual North Jersey Classic golf outing was held at the North Jersey Country Club, bringing together sponsors, supporters and several New York Giants, for a beautiful day on the course and raising over $100,000. Guests heard the inspiring story of Jay Fund scholar Nick, whose eight-year cancer journey was a powerful reminder of the resilience of the families we serve.

Trading baseball bats for pickleball racquets, Payne Allen rallied his childhood baseball friends to team up and raised almost $13,000 to support his young cousin Mary and other children tackling cancer.

Thank you to Jay Fund scholar Anthony Onnembo and the Student Movement Against Cancer Club at Northern Valley Old Tappan High School for organizing and hosting a home run derby and raising over $2,000 for Jay Fund families. Anthony also signed copies of his newly published book, “Cancer, I Thank You: A Blueprint for Creating a Life You Want to Wake Up To,” sharing his inspiring journey battling cancer throughout high school.
