As we gather for the 29th annual Tom Coughlin Jay Fund Celebrity Golf Tournament, my heart is filled with gratitude and excitement This event has become more than just a golf outing; it's a testament to the incredible generosity and support of individuals like you who share our commitment to help families tackling childhood cancer. This tournament holds a special place in my heart as we come together not only to enjoy a day on the greens but to make a profound difference in the lives of families facing unimaginable challenges. Your presence speaks volumes about your dedication to our cause, and I am truly honored to have you join us.

The Jay Fund's mission has always been clear: to provide comprehensive financial, emotional, and practical support to families battling childhood cancer Over the past 29 years, with your incredible support, we have been able to help thousands of families, easing their burdens and allowing them to focus on what truly matters –their child's health and well-being

As we break bread together this evening and prepare to tee off in the morning, let us remember the courageous families we serve Let us keep them in our thoughts and prayers, knowing that every swing, every putt, and every laugh shared on the course today contributes to making a meaningful difference in their lives.

I want to extend my deepest gratitude to our sponsors, donors, volunteers, and participants. Your generosity fuels our mission and brings hope to families in their darkest hours. Together, we are a force for good, and together, we will continue to make a profound impact on the childhood cancer community

As this weekend gets underway, let us play with purpose, knowing that our efforts today will echo far beyond the fairways

Thank you again and wishing you all a fantastic and spirited round of golf.

J A Y M C G I L L I S

The Tom Coughlin Jay Fund Foundation is named for Jay McGillis, who was diagnosed with leukemia while playing football under Coach Coughlin at Boston College. Coach admired the red-headed strong side safety for his incredible work ethic and intense play

In the eight months between Jay’s diagnosis and battle with cancer, the Coughlin family saw firstha p y , emotional and financial strains the illness caused Jay’s family. Coach Coughlin vowed that if he ever had the chance, he would create a way to help families with children battling cancer.

Coach Coughlin kept his vow and started this foundation to BE THERE for these patients and families in Jay’s honor. Since 1996, the Jay Fund has provided $28 million to over 5,800 families in Northeast Florida, Southern Georgia and the New York/New Jersey metropolitan area.

Together, the Tom Coughlin Jay Fund and Wolfson Children’s Hospital are helping families tackle childhood cancer. The Jay Fund helps children like Shane and their families focus on their fight against childhood cancer by taking away some of the burdens that come with the diagnosis. From paying household bills to financial planning, from making a child’s life brighter through playing games in Evan’s Teen Room at Wolfson Children’s Hospital to organizing special visits, the Jay Fund is there for our patients and their families.
