12840 Mouth of Smith River Rd. in Smith River Xaa-wan'-k'wvt Head Start (Parking Lot) The Tolowa Dee-ni' Nation will be hosting a meat distribution for tribal citizens. The goal is to increase tribal citizens' access to traditional and healthy foods. Bags will include chis-chu svn' (elk meat) and lhuk (salmon). In addition to chis-chu, elders will receive locally raised hay-k'vs svn' (pork meat). All tribal households are eligible to receive 1 bag (a household is defined as a registered tribal address – no exceptions) .
Bags will be available for pickup on Friday, January 7th, from 10:30 am-2:00pm at the Xaa-wan'-k'wvt Head Start parking lot. If you are an interested tribal household, your bag must be picked up at the designated time and place, please have your Tribal ID with you.
