In December, Head Start had a wonderful winter festival including fun winter projects such as making snowman, Christmas tree ornaments, along with some great make your own snowman soup. The Head start was visited by Santa, He came with his herd of flying elk with all his presents for the children carried nicely in his large dip net. Shu’ shaa nin-la, (Thank you) for visiting our students. All 21 students received jackets from Coats For Kids. Shu’ shaa nin-la, (Thank you) Bi-Coastal Media. Our Parent Committee has an on going penny drive fundraiser, Donation locations are main tribal office and the Head Start. Head start will be closed February 18th for Staff Development and February 21st for Presidents Day.

Our Early Learning Center is accepting applications. We invite all children ages 2.9 years to 6 years of age

2021 Xii-dvn Na’srlh-yi (Winter time Activity)

For the winter season, CFW did an activity kit centered around family engagement. The kits contained: one Oreo cookie train (to build), DIY Christmas cards, 6 color your own snowman snow globes, Classic Christmas Favorites DVD, Christmas Stories (32 classic stories) book, Raven: A Trickster Tale from the Pacific Northwest or Coyote: A Trickster Tale from the American Southwest, candy, mini marshmallows, hot cocoa, and popcorn.

We had a total 64 families register with 142 children. For this activity, we also held a coloring contest. The contest had three age groups (0-5,6-12,13-17) and a total number of eleven submissions were turned in.
