Shu' shaa nin-la to all the participants and cultural experts for sharing their knowledge and ensuring identity and skill for our Tolowa Dee-ni' community throughout our homelands. We want to thank the renowned matriarchs Bertha Peters, Jeanette Eberhardt, Vicki Bommelyn, Sheryl Steinruck, Jolleanne Brittain, Suntayea Steinruck, and Marva Jones for showing our young girls and women how to be strong like the woven baskets that carries our identity and traditions forward to be lived beyond words. The Education staff would like to thank the male cultural bearers Pergish Carlson, Antonio Padilla, Rylan Mauai, Guylish Bommelyn, and Trent Thompson for supporting our young men in their crafts and tool making in securing sustenance and skills which will impact for generations to come.
