Welcome to our town. Nestled in the Wallkill Valley and bordered on the west by the Shawangunk Mountains, Gardiner is truly a gem of the Hudson Valley. The Town of Gardiner is located in southern Ulster County, approximately 15 miles from the cities of Kingston, Poughkeepsie, and Newburgh and approximately 75 miles north of New York City. Experience the vast and colorful history by visiting the oldest street in America in New Paltz, or Kingston, the first capital of New York. Both the Dutch and the English settled in Ulster County, drawn by lush farmlands along the Hudson. Dutch names of towns and lanes recall the past, while thriving energetic communities continues to grow and prosper in Ulster County Peace and prosperity resonates this beautiful region boosting mountainous, flat, riverlined, countryside, and forested terrain.
