Let me introduce to you the first-ever Karton, an art folio travelling through the monochrome psyche discovering the wonders of the mind.
Beneath the folds reveal the first chapter filled with black, white, and grey shades that tints the pages. Life may seem too complex and colorful sometimes that we try to detach ourselves and try to view everything in black and white – helping us accentuate what is bright and dark, happy or sad, and good or
Let us roll back, and simplify things in mind, and imagine how a monotonous world can be so colorful in its own way. Let the shadows grow dark, the highlights shine brighter, and let the silver lining sheen through our visions and appreciate the change we go through in order
This is the monochrome psyche.
The initial phases of every journey’s stepping stones are noteworthy. Undoubtedly, it is the same for us as we bring you the first edition of our art portfolio. This output is born out of our passion for art and all that it entails.
Some few months back, this all started as a dream, but the love of capturing and creating art that would attract the monochrome psyche of any individual brought us here. Our passion and hard work breathed life into this art folio. I look forward to you enjoying it as much as we did while creating it.
Meet Kai, the keeper of the keys.
Kai was born from a tree whom they later considered their mother. One day, the tree got corroded by an unknown pollution. To save itself, the tree turned into small fragments of keys, but before their mother got scattered throughout the different dimensions, Kai’s mother said to them: “Go and seek the truth behind the secrets of the world!”
From then on, Kai travels into different dimensions — time, space, and the universe — collecting the keys while unveiling the truth behind the world’s existence at the same time.
On their first journey, Kai will be delving through the monochrome psyche.
Kai, the brave and free-spirited wanderer, has an unquenchable thirst for adventure. They travel to different dimensions with their lamp and gear in search of the truth. Their character, as depicted in the illustrations, is a joyous bundle of inquisitiveness and keen observation. Kai is known as “the keeper of keys” because they were created to discover the hidden secrets behind the elements of each puzzling world. This lone ranger is on their way to a monochrome psyche.
As Kai bids farewell with the monochrome psyche, carrying the remnants of hope and filled with the burning passion to seek more and more, leaves the shades of grey.
Continuing the pursuit of keys, Kai dives through realms of the underwater, with the optimism of learning, expressing, and discovering the art of pen and ink.
Blissful of what’s ahead in their journey, Kai gears up, putting their right foot forward and prepared of whatever they may face — Kai plunges in the blue and cold waters.
The thumping of their heart melodically beats with the sounds of the waves as if saying that Kai is in the right place.
Jumping from one dimension to another is a big thing, but obliviously starting another journey in depths of the freezing water — can Kai find another key?
We frequently contrast our life’s timetable with everything we perceive and desire. We tend to forget that each of us has a unique path to travel and that we all operate on distinct wavelengths. There were various routes used, each with its own topography. Some roads are so steep that we fear we will never reach our destination, and some roads are so freshly paved that we effortlessly glide through them.
Every situation is also unique. We play different characters in a play, and we are our own life’s script writers. We have our own web of life. We have our own farm to dig and harvest. Own morphology. All of this together makes up the distinctive color palette of life.
