Fiscal Year 2026 Impact Report

Building on Brilliance

The Impact of Your Generosity

Susan Palmer, Campaign Co-Chair, giving a guided tour.

The Building on Brilliance project began with the goal of becoming this country’s model museum, recognized for our commitment to quality and our culture of belonging. The reinstallation is now more than halfway to completion, and thanks to you that vision is becoming reality.

Success in Progress Building on Brilliance has always been more than an ambitious reinterpretation of gallery spaces — together, we are redefining the museum experience. FY2026 has proven to be a momentous period of creative change, marked by innovative design, infrastructure development and community engagement. We are deeply grateful for your support of this remarkable evolution. The Grand Reopening in Fall 2027 will shine a spotlight on the hard work, input and generosity of thousands of dedicated individuals — the perfect tribute to TMA’s legacy and future.

“The reinstallation is the next in a series of gallery renewals that have punctuated our 125 year history. We will continue to center artworks of extraordinary quality from across 6,000 years and 6 continents, and will trace the development of human connectivity from antiquity to the truly globalized world we have today. In this approach, form, style and medium are transformed from art historical markers to evidence of the diffusion of ideas and cultures. Our display will be both novel in this country and ensure that anyone who visits — from Toledo, Ohio, to Toledo, Spain— sees themselves and their personal histories reflected in our galleries.” ADAM LEVINE Edward Drummond and Florence Scott Libbey President, Director and CEO
