Christmas in the 419 | 2022

As we come together this holiday season to share His wonderful blessing with those around us, our goal is JOY FOR OUR CITY. Each year, the people at Calvary go above and beyond to Love the 419 during the Christmas season. Over the past few years, we have been able to gift almost $100,000 back to our community. This year we are looking forward to Loving the 419 & Beyond through our specially chosen gifts. By helping meet very specific needs, we are able to provide tools to our ministry partners so they can build relationships with those who need Christ.

The process is easy! Simply find the gift that you would like to give, donate to Christmas in the 419, and our team will deliver these items. This Christmas, do something to bring joy to our city.

Gift #1 - Books for Babies

By gifting books to families, we can help increase the literacy rate in underprivileged communities and help prepare kids for kindergarten. Research shows that these kids are significantly behind their peers on the first day of school.

Gift #2 - Toys for Families

Fill a home with love and laughter this Christmas by providing toys for local families who may struggle to put something under the Christmas tree.

Gift #3 - Clothes for Students

Provide access to warm clothes and proper shoes to help a student feel confident and safe.

Gift #4 - Food for Christmas

Say “Merry Christmas” by providing Christmas dinner for those who are currently living in Toledo shelters.

Gift #5 - English for Work

Provide a week of employment-based English education for a refugee or immigrant in the Toledo area. Many live near the poverty line and do not speak English, so these classes give them the tools they need to provide for their families.

Gift #6 - Truth for Moms

Recently two large tech companies changed the way they allow pro-life organizations to advertise on their platforms. These changes can jeopardize the opportunity for moms to hear about options when it comes to choosing life for their unborn child. This year our donations will help to increase The Pregnancy Center’s capacity to advertise, allowing more opportunities for lives to be saved.

Gift #7 - Welcome for Internationals

what they can carry and need to find ways to furnish apartments and dorm rooms. One of our ministry partners uses this opportunity to be the hands and feet of Christ by providing gently used household items for students to choose from. By meeting this very practical need, they can build relationships with many of the students and begin to find open doors to share about Christ.

Your donation will give them funds to help fill their warehouse with items they need for students (microwaves, vacuums, lamps, bedding, etc).

Gift #8 - Churches for Cuba

In Cuba, most churches need to meet in homes to comply with government regulations. As these home churches grow and expand, they need additional structures. Be a part of helping the growing church in Cuba by making a donation towards the purchase of additional homes, and the resources they need to love their communities!
