Go to Elections Ontario at elections.on.ca to learn more, including the location of voting stations and how to get voting information in other languages.
Do allow candidates to canvass in your building It’s any candidate’s right to be able to access potential constituents for the purpose of canvassing. This includes knocking on doors, talking to tenants, and leaving flyers behind with those tenants.
Do put up election signs inside your home Examples include in your window or on your wall. You can also put up
signs on your fence if you have a yard.
What you cannot do Don’t put up election signs on your balcony or in common areas of your building This is both dangerous and against the law.
Don’t share any personal information you’re not comfortable sharing This includes with candidates who come to your door, or with anyone else. TCHC will not share tenant lists with candidates or political parties. We respect tenant privacy.
