Check for alumni discounts from your school.

Some schools partner with insurance companies that give alumni lower rates.

Ask your banks about discounts.

Some banks offer special discounts if you have a credit card or account with them.

Compare prices online or talk to an insurance broker Use a comparison website to get quotes all in one place. You can also talk to an insurance broker to help find the best rates for you.

Bundle your insurance.

If you already have car insurance, ask your provider if they offer a discount for bundling tenant insurance.

Adjust your coverage.

Ask about special rates.

Insurance companies offer discounts if you’re claims-free or a loyal customer.

Lower your monthly payments by raising your deductible or only paying for what you need.

Ontario Works or Ontario Disability Support Program.

Pay yearly instead of monthly.

If you can afford to pay for the entire year upfront, you might save money.
