Fire safety hazards
Lithium-ion battery explosions are unpredictable and volatile. Overcharging batteries and using extension cords produces heat that can lead to a fire. Only use the manufacturer’s charging cables, plug directly into an outlet, and monitor until charging is complete.
Qaraxyada baytariyada Lithium-ion waa kuwo aan la saadaalin karin oo nugul. Dabaynta xad-dhaafka ah ee baytariyada iyo isticmaalka fiilooyinka dhaadheer waxay soo saaraan kulayl horseedi kara dab.

Decorating for the holidays in 2025
2025 Guidelines
After consulting with tenants, we are implementing a holiday decorating program for 2025. Here are some guidelines for decorating lobbies and community rooms, to help keep everyone safe.
• Wreaths, trees, decorations, and doormats are not allowed on
doors and in hallways.
• Trees/decorations must be artificial. They must also be fire resistant, fire retardant, or non-combustible. Fresh cut or live trees and decorations are not permitted.
• Lights must be CSA certified and in good condition.
• Keep all exits clear and always maintain a clear walkway that is at least 5 feet wide
• There needs to be another way to exit the building that is not through the lobby door.
• Be sure to take down all interior holiday decorations by Saturday, January 31, 2026.

Are You a Pet Owner?
Did you know that the City of Toronto’s bylaw only permits owning a maximum of three dogs and six cats?
Here’s a quick reminder on the bylaw:
• Keep all pets in a clean environment, free from waste and pests that can endanger the health of your pet and neighbours.
• Do not breed animals as that might be a bylaw violation.
• Keep your dogs leashed and under control when outside your home.
• Pick up dog waste immediately.
• Persistent or excessive noise from any animal is not permitted.
Leashing, stooping and scooping keep not only your pets safe, but also ensures that everyone can enjoy our shared public spaces!
Trees and Shrubs
Beautiful trees and shrubs are available for TCHC tenants through LEAF, a local non-profit organization. You will be involved in the selection, planting and/or care of trees and shrubs in your community.
