Bengal Towne Centre Starts Second Phase

In March 2022 work began on the My Way Tavern Building, the second phase of the Bengal Towne Centre mixed-use development, located off NE Judd Parkway. The My Way Building will consist of 78 condominiums and retail space. The owners of My Way Tavern have existing locations in Holly Springs and Raleigh. They announced they will lease more than 5,000 square feet of the 18,000 square feet of retail space.

Berk-Tek Announces Expansion

Berk-Tek, a Leviton Company, announced on December 21, 2022, its plans to expand its fiber optic cabling facility at 100 Technology Park Lane in Fuquay-Varina. The company currently operates a 55,000-square-foot facility and proposes to expand its existing facility by adding 95,000 square feet to its footprint. Construction of the manufacturing facility and purchased machinery and equipment will create $27 million in new capital investment and 100 new full-time jobs over the next five years. BerkTek’s facility in Fuquay-Varina has been a leading manufacturer of highperformance fiber optic cables in the telecommunications industry for more than 30 years. Berk-Tek’s fiber cable is used in Leviton’s innovative end-to-end systems for various networks across North America and the world.
