TODD GRAY

The Grateful Dead have been the backdrop to my life… not just a musical backdrop, but in many ways, my identity. I lived in the Haight Ashbury, I drove a VW bus and attended countless shows. How many shows is unclear, but my friends tell me I had a great time at every one.
It took me many years to actually get down to creating a Grateful Dead body of work… although it was always on my mind. I think that the sheer amount of inspiration was too large for me to pare down. It was slow going at first, but when I was finally able to synthesize all this inspiration into my own artistic language, the pieces flowed like water. The work in this small catalog is the result of this endeavor, and an homage of my gratitude to all the Grateful Dead have given me.
