As co-chairs of the campaign, we are humbled by the amazing generosity that we have seen from Tennessee Wesleyan’s alumni and friends. The Proud Heritage, Strong Future campaign has been the catalyst for accomplishing the university’s strategic goals including increased student access through scholarship support, strengthening and expanding academic programs, enhancing facilities and campus grounds, and the construction of the Colloms Campus Center. But even though the finish line is in sight, we still need your help to complete the marquee project of the campaign. The construction of the Colloms Campus Center is the most ambitious priority of the campaign, with an estimated cost of $8 million. Ranked as the number one priority by Tennessee Wesleyan’s Board of Trustees, faculty, staff, and students; this building will not only transform the landscape of campus, but will transform the way TWU serves students. Simply put, this project is a game changer! The center will increase TWU’s attractiveness in an ever competitive education environment along with providing collaborative space for community engagement. The impact that this center will have will be felt for many generations to come. Therefore, we’re asking you three things:

ABOUT THE COLLOMS CAMPUS CENTER The Colloms Campus Center, named in honor of the family of The Honorable Carl Colloms, ‘64, will serve as the hub for campus-wide learning. Here, students, faculty and staff can interact with one another and shape a collective experience creating a bond that unites them. Judge Colloms’ lead gift of $2 million has accelerated this project, and his humble spirit is inspiring others to join in the effort. Located on the corner of Green and College Streets, the 30,000-square foot building is behind Townsend Memorial Hall. The construction is scheduled to wrap up near the end of December 2018 with hopes for an earlier fall completion. This facility will serve as a central space where students, faculty and staff will have easy access to: • Activity space for small concerts, speakers, or other student engagements • Expanded campus bookstore • Mail Center • Burkett’s – a Grill/Cyber Café (Named in honor of Burkett Witt) • Space to relax, socialize or to study • Game lounge for student recreation
• The George R. Johnson Event Center (large banquet/event space) • The Mosher Center for Student Success (career services, student assessments/counseling, success coaching)
• The Jim and Anna Winer Gallery displaying student and other community art • Various meeting rooms for student organizations, faculty, staff or community meetings
