2021 Summer Reading Program at the Bonham Public Library By Bonham Public Library
Summer will be here before you know it. So, make plans now to be part of our Summer Reading Program. The theme this year is “Tails & Tales”. Registration begins on May 24 and you can register at the Library, online, using the Read Squared App or our Google form. Pick up your bag filled with goodies: bookmarks, Dairy Queen Ice Cream Cone Coupon, pencil, tattoo, a sopapilla from Luna Azul (with a purchase) and more. Teens will receive a drawstring backpack and adults will receive a book light. Join us for the Kick-off on June 1 from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm here at the library. There will be a Clown Show at 10 am, balloon twisting and Oba Farms petting zoo from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. We will also be having a scavenger hunt in the library with prizes. (1105 W. 5th St) June 8: Wildlife on the Move June 15: Outdoor Bubble Show June 22: All About Animals June 29: Will Parker Music July 13: Comedy and Magic with John O’Bryant July 20: Touch-A-Truck Event July 13 is our Celebration Party that will be held at the Trade Days Pavilion (1100 West 5th Street) from 11:30 pm to 1:00 pm. We will be having a Foam Dance Party with cookies, ice cream and water thanks to Brookshire’s. Wear something you can get wet. This is going to be so much fun. To complete your reading challenge this year, Ages 2-5 will need to read or be read to 25 books, Ages 6-18 will need to read for 25 hours. There are three age groups: 2-5, 6-12 and
13-18. When you finish you will receive an awesome Tails and Tales T-shirt designed by Brian Brinlee and your name will go into grand prize drawings. We are giving away these prizes this summer: John Deer Bike, Pink Scooter, Stuffed Animals, Animal Play set, Lego Kits, Books, Gift cards to Subway, Juba, Kindle Fire and more. There will also be weekly TNT (Tweens and Teens) programs. Ages 9-12 on Mondays at 4:00 pm and Ages 13-18 at 5:30 pm.
