Discussion, consideration and action regarding the Fannin County Declaration of Disaster Proclamation for Covid-19: County Judge Randy Moore began his discussion by thanking all those participating by teleconference. He then went on to cite the current Covid-19 case numbers. He stated that as of 8:00 a.m., there were 2,226 confirmed cases of Covid-19 and 431 probable cases for a

County. Of those total numbers, 166 are active, with 89 in prison; and there have been 76 fatalities. The hospitalization rate is currently 21.80%, which while showing a slight decrease from last week; is still very problematic for area hospitals. Regarding the vaccines, Judge Moore said that Fannin County is receiving a good number of vaccines and reminded everyone wanting to receive the vaccine, to first call the Call Center at 903583-2189 to get added to the list. He stressed the importance of following the rules; showing up to receive the vaccine when notified to do so, and not showing up if you have not been scheduled to receive the vaccine. He said the process is running smoothly right now, and “drive-thru” clinics are expected to be taking place at different locations
