Colossians 4:2-3a
ogether We Pray is an opportunity to support the Great Commission by directly joining in the ministry personally. If it is true that the Great Commission is a command for all Christians, that we are all to go and make disciples in some way (Matthew 28:19-20), then God will also provide the means and opportunity for us all to play our part.
Yet, our busy lives and frantic schedules can cause us to forget and forsake this vital aspect of ministry.
While we are not all called to pastoral ministry or overseas missions, we are all called to use our own gifts and abilities for the sake of building up the body of Christ (Ephesians 4:11).
We rejoice in the ways God allows us to strengthen, encourage, and equip the global Church body.
One ability we all possess is the grace of prayer.
Both personally and corporately, prayer is how we pour out to God the deepest concerns and cares of our hearts. It is one of the ways in which we strengthen, encourage, and equip fellow saints, both in the local church, and those serving around the world. This is a vital way every Christian can participate in the Great Commission, no matter the age, citizenship, or vocation.
In the booklet that follows, you will see specific ways to pray for each region of TMAI Training Centers.
Whether attending a university or seminary, living in Portugal or the Philippines, we can all come together with joy and obedience—
devoted to prayer for the sake of the gospel of Christ. There is a vast network of gospel partners helping to advance the name of Christ among the nations—and that network includes you. We thank God for your fellowship in the gospel, and we hope you enjoy this special way to help fulfill the Great Commission by being devoted to prayer.
Until they all hear,
Mark Tatlock PresidentThe region where the Reformation once spread like wildfire is growing colder. The age-old fight against the sinful culture continues—secularization in the church is replacing what is true and spiritual. This has led to a destruction of Biblical family values, and the Christian identity and values that were once indicative of many European cultures have dissolved into man-made philosophies and confusion. As a result, there is a great need to pray for strong biblical leadership who will shepherd Christ’s Church and train up mature men.
CZECH REPUBLIC GERMANY ITALY
• Pray that our leadership continues to make Christ the priority in their daily lives and ministries through prayer, holy living, and making disciples for Christ.
• Pray for wisdom in how to mentor and develop the affiliate training ministries (Hungary, Estonia, Denmark, Norway, Finland, France, North Macedonia, and Slovakia) to maturity in Christ.
• Pray that the church planting teams would be well equipped by our Training Centers to reach unreached European countries.
It is no secret how much believers in Ukraine and Russia need prayer. Aside from challenges that the war has brought to Ukraine and Russia, believers throughout many Slavic countries face the threat of government persecution. Financial struggles mean that most pastors must work full-time in addition to their church ministry responsibilities, posing challenges to ministry when a pastor is spread so thin. Yet God has allowed us to train men from several restricted-access countries in the Slavic region, including Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Mongolia. We pray that the Lord will open more doors to provide training to the leaders who are seeking it.

Russian-Speakers
• Praise God that He has used so many TMAI graduates in Ukraine and Russia to minister to struggling believers.
• Pray for peace in the region. The war has been going since February 2022 and has taken an unspeakable toll on many in Ukraine and Russia.
• Pray for training to continue despite the challenging circumstances and that God would save many souls in the region. There is still a desire and need to press forward with translation and publication into some of the minority languages in the region.
The Asia-Pacific region holds unique challenges for Christians as they minister in predominantly Buddhist, Hindu, Catholic, and Islamic cultures. Many believers face both open persecution and violent political instability. Like many other regions, Asia-Pacific lacks solid Bible resources and biblical training in the people’s native language. Leaders want to be trained, but much is either unavailable to them or promotes errant theology. Join us in praying that healthy churches in Asia would train leaders and send their own missionaries throughout the region.

PHILIPPINES
• Pray for the ongoing training in restrictedaccess countries. Pray for open doors, protection, and boldness as our professors travel to these regions to offer training. In the most recent trip, there were over 1,000 church leaders attending in a restrictedaccess country.
• Pray for the development of new training ministries in India and Indonesia. Pray that God would give wisdom to the teams as they plan, develop curriculum, and recruit students.
• Pray for the ongoing translation projects like Biblical Doctrine and The MacArthur Study Bible. Pray the Lord provides the right translators, editors, printers, and distributors.

There are many professing Christians throughout Ibero-America, but this is not truly indicative of the spiritual health of the region. There is still great need, as mature, Bible-believing churches are rare. In many countries, the challenge is just to find a church that truly preaches the word of God when so many are being influenced by the secular culture’s values and social agenda. Yet at the same time, we are seeing what some have called a Quiet Reformation among many Central and South American countries. In all contexts, it will take mature, strong Christians to stand for the truth in a culture of lies.
• Pray for spiritual growth and wisdom for the Training Center leaders and professors. Pray for their diligence, wisdom, endurance, and families.
• Pray for the leadership of churches in the region to stay faithful and trusting uniquely in the sufficiency of Scripture.
• Pray for opportunities to start new training centers in countries where there is great need. Currently, we are working with training ministries in Colombia, Ecuador, El Salvador, Dominican Republic, and Chile.
As the second largest continent boasting 54 countries, the needs of Africa are urgent and pressing. One of the greatest challenges is that many local churches are led by unqualified or untrained pastors, which affects the spiritual growth of believers. Contributing to this is the lack of solid biblical resources in both English and indigenous languages. This challenge involves scarcity of resources, language barriers, and lack of affordability.
PRAY FOR
MALAWI SOUTH AFRICA
• Pray for unity and healthy collaboration among training centers and like-minded churches in Africa to advance the authority of Scripture.
• Pray for wisdom and strength as we help develop new training centers in Africa to equip and reach many local church leaders. Currently, we are working with new training ministries in Uganda, Ethiopia, Zimbabwe, and Sierra Leone.
• Pray for the sufficient supply of faculty and resources which helps produce quality training.
The birthplace of the patriarchs, prophets, and Christ Himself, the Middle East-North Africa (MENA) region is still one fraught with unique challenges and derision.
Most know of the political strife that has long marred the region. For Christianity, it is a literal and spiritual desert. Though there are many “Christian” churches, doctrinally sound churches are few and far between. These churches need strengthening through sound expository preaching. Part of the challenge includes translation efforts, as the TMAI team endeavors to translate the Bible and biblical resources into Arabic.
COUNTRIES WITHHELD FOR SECURITY
• Pray for students and their families to be faithful and bold witnesses in all aspects of their lives. Pray for the Lord’s protection and grace over His people as they face persecution, war, and unrest.
• Pray for Bible translations into languages in desperate need of the Scriptures.
• Pray for the Lord’s provision, as TMAI Middle East desires to reach into more MENA countries but does not have the faculty to do so right now. Pray that God would raise up faithful men who can bring training and biblical teaching into new countries in the region.
