A Note from the President

Together We Pray is designed to give you a global perspective of grace. When we find our lives busy and burdened, we can easily forget what God is doing in His people around the world. But when we forget this, we end up losing the very perspective that has encouraged believers throughout the centuries.

For example, when the apostle Paul was imprisoned and chained to Roman guards, God refreshed him through a reminder of the dear believers far away in Philippi. Paul

“God loves to remind us that He is working in believers all over the world, and this should drive us to

knew that he and they were all partakers of grace, and even though they were miles apart, they shared a common “fellowship in the gospel” (Phil 1:5). Remembering this bond led Paul to thank God and pray joyfully for those saints, and it can do the same for us today.

A TMAI supporter in Canada gives another example of this. She was recently sharing how easily she could get discouraged if she thought the internet was giving her a full picture of what was happening in the Church. But she went on to explain how, after she met with some of our TMAI faculty members in the Philippines and heard more about what the Lord is doing in Southeast Asia, she began to see life differently. She went from being nearly discouraged to openly praising God for being such an awesome Savior.

So whether He points us to believers in Philippi or the Philippines, God loves to remind us that He is working in believers all over the world, and this should drive us to rejoice and pray for them. There is a vast network of gospel partners advancing the word among the nations—and that network includes you. We thank God for your fellowship in the gospel, and we hope you enjoy this special way to pray.

2. A new church plant from CBI’s home church. The plant is located in the third largest city in the Czech Republic (Ostrava), and it includes several graduates of CBI.

3. The Lord to grant ITA favor with more local churches in Italy. Unfortunately, several churches do not yet show a desire for deeper Bible training.

4. Wisdom for SETS as they seek to provide true, biblical help for the churches in Albania. Many Albanian churches are struggling with issues of disunity, moral failure, and a lack of leadership.

5. Biblical unity among the churches of Croatia. Some churches are divided over the issue of ecumenism, but increasing numbers of TBA graduates are helping to promote unity in the truth.

1. The team’s efforts to buy a building in an undisclosed country. They ask for wisdom as they look for a permanent training location.

2. The further development of a digital Bible word study tool. The school faculty already created a website version of this resource that is reaching people across the region, but they also want to develop a mobile version to help more Arabic speakers study the original languages of Scripture without knowing English.

3. The Training Center’s first national faculty member—a graduate of their program—who is now teaching classes and serving at his local church.

4. The Training Center’s growing publishing ministry. They recently completed a translation of John MacArthur’s commentary on Philippians—the first of his commentaries to be translated into Arabic.

Our top priority is to provide member schools with the funding they need to provide training to all who desire it. These funds are distributed by our Board of Directors two times each year to cover student scholarships and all operating costs of the schools. You can give a gift at tmai.org/donate .
