Fitting Instructions

Before using this support, please read the instructions below completely and carefully. Correct application is vital to the proper functioning of the support.

Wearing Instructions

A lumbar sacral orthosis {back support} is designed to limit motion in your trunk and to “support” your back which will help to reduce spasms and alleviate pain. It is recommended to wear an LSO for 2 hours then remove for up to 30 minutes and repeat as needed. A Back Support should be worn intermittently with a limit of 6 hours in any 24-hour period unless otherwise directed by your Medical Provider. It is recommended to be worn over a shirt to avoid skin irritation. Do not wear while bathing or showering. In the event of increased pain discontinue use immediately and contact the medical facility the product was prescribed at for further evaluation.

Application

Step 1. Start with the brace opened flat with the interior facing upwards.

Step 2. Customize your fit using the printed sizing indicators on the inside of the brace. To adjust the size, lift and pull strap through the D-ring to achieve your desired size.

Step 3. Position the lumbar brace at the midpoint of the lower back, ensuring central alignment. Position the anterior panel on your abdomen and encircle the brace securely around the abdomen.

Step 4. Grasp the two pull-tabs, then adjust tension until the desired level of compression is attained.
