As part of her Spanish Independent Study, Indian Creek School senior Olivia Boucher sought an in-depth exploration of what being 'multicultural' means. In order to share her findings in a digestible format for many ages, she created a picture book which uses an ocean theme to cover this topic through the metaphor of a fish traveling to different waters. Her finished product, "Nadando en otro Estanque" (or "Swimming to Another Pond") is a sophisticated portrayal of the experience of growing up with multiple cultures through a first person narrative.
