Resource Spotlight: Iowa Adventure Passes
Your ticket to FREE family fun Your Des Moines Public Library card is once again your pass for free family fun this summer. Using your card to book an Iowa Adventure Pass gets you and your family a free visit to the Blank Park Zoo, Greater Des Moines Botanical Garden, and the Science Center of Iowa.
How it works: • You must be 18 years or older to reserve an Adventure Pass. You can book the pass online at dmpl.org/adventure-pass, or by calling the library at (515) 283-4152.
• Each pass is good for up to two adults and two children. Family members may reserve passes simultaneously, and
additional tickets can be purchased at the gate.
• Cardholders may reserve a pass to each venue once every 365 days. • You must live in Des Moines, rural Polk County, or Windsor Heights and have an active Des Moines Public Library
card to reserve a free Adventure Pass. You can register for a library card at any of our six library locations, or online at dmpl.org/get-card.
The Science Center of Iowa currently has limited visiting hours. Because of this, each Adventure Pass for the Science Center is good for either a 9 AM-12 PM session or a 1-4 PM session on a given day. For the Greater Des Moines Botanical Garden and the Blank Park Zoo, each adventure pass can be redeemed during the entire day. Learn more about Adventure Passes and start booking your day out at dmpl.org/adventure-pass. Additional restrictions due to COVID may apply. May 2021 • engage
