Spend 2022 expanding your reading horizons with the DMPL Reading Challenge – with the opportunity to win fun prizes along the way! All you have to do is read a book from 12 of our 18 selected genre categories over the course of the year. Read books in any order, as fast or slow as you want, as long as you finish by December 31, 2022. If you need suggestions or ideas for the categories, our librarians have you covered on the Reading Challenge page on our website. Finish 12 categories by the end of the year, and you’ll be eligible for our prize drawings. (Along with extra prizes along the way.) For the super readers out there, this year we’re adding monthly bonus categories. Check the website at the beginning of each month to see what the new category is. If you complete all 12 bonus categories, you’ll get an exclusive piece of library swag!

The Musical! featuring Mo Willems’ very funny temperamental pigeon. Enjoy the performance and register to win free tickets to the play!
Tuesday, January 18, 5:30 PM | East Side Library This all-ages event will showcase your creativity. Materials will be provided for you to make a “bad” piece of art. Use your creativity to make your best Pinterest fail or “messterpiece.” Each team will have about 30 minutes to create their work, and three “winners” will receive fun prizes.
