My excitement for our future has never been more than it is today. The cattle market is great and our cattle have never looked better. Purchasing the high selling replacement heifer in the spring Pieper Red Angus sale was one of my career highlights. We may not have been ready to jump in at this level, but I feel that being willing to take risk is part of becoming an elite producer and it sure was fun~!~ PIE FAYE 3017 is already making a big run at our future, producing 17 embryos and bringing a calf out of our new Deep End herd bull next spring. Look at her information in the back of our book. I didn't get a picture of her yet, but trust me when I say that she is a deep bodied broody heifer in a moderate frame. Her feet are awless and her udder promises to be rst rate.
Next I want to talk about our hybrid program. I may have gone overboard creating these Charolais x Red angus cattle and we will be dialing it back for next year. The good news is that you have the opportunity to purchase hybrid bulls and heifers that stem from some of our best purebred cows. I feel like these cattle will add pounds and carcass cut out value to your operation. In addition they are really fun to look at~!~ The 'copperheads' as Galen Fink calls them are a fantastic cross. I have never talked with a feed yard man who doesn't love these cattle. We have had good success with calving ease and birth weight. These F1 bulls and heifers will of course add hybrid vigor. I think the heifers will surprise you with their productivity and the bulls will work hard for you. Crossbreeding has long been a recommended practice for the commercial producer. Next I encourage you to take a look at BARU DES MOINES. What a great phenotype~!~ His sisters look great and his rst half dozen calves are the most exciting sire group in the fall calves.
We are offering all yearling virgin bulls in this sale. I personally think the savvy bull buyer does his shopping in the yearling pen. Often the best genetics are
found in the yearlings. We have saved some great bulls for our spring sale, but the general rule is that the yearlings have passed their semen test at a younger age. They have not been exposed to someone else's cows and tend to be safer from a disease perspective. In addition it is pro table to get them arclimited to your ranch. Also I think it is easier to get them home before they get over fat. As bull producers, myself included, tend to feed them too hard. I don't think that is much of a problem up to a year of age, after that, well it can be. Now having said that I would tell you that we have saved a Commander son to clean up on our fall herd that will be offered in March or April. We have also held back an Identity son for the same purpose. These two are awesome and will deserve your consideration next spring. They will be ready to breed cows for you!
The bulls have been fertility tested at KABSU and vaccinated with Vision 20-20 (black leg- pink eye). The bulls have also been vaccinated with vira shield 6 + VL5. They will also be poured with Vetrimec. The bulls are guaranteed to make the rst breeding season free of broken penis or foot problems. What a great way to start the Copperhead bull sale. This polled Scurred bull has a ton of things to o er and the rst of which is a good mother. Blue Bell 951 would be in the top 5 cows at the ranch, a de nite donor possibility. Both this bull and his mother have perfect feet. Blue Bell is the dam of our Spartan herd sire and she has a great udder.
This bull is the oldest fall yearling in the sale. He is out of a great easy eshing cow that really milks. She is one of those little, big cows who is very moderate in frame score. 7663 is a Janssen cow that we depend on to raise a top performing calf every year.

Wow look at the growth numbers on this heifer. She is a true 'copperhead' char x red angus. She goes back to the very rst Pieper Red Angus bull to come to the ranch. Miss Grace, this heifers mother, cannot be faulted in her look, udder shape or foot structure. We have had bad luck getting her to settle AI, but that has not stopped her from producing some fantastic bull and heifer calves. She has one of the top BARU DES MOINES heifer calves on her now.

We have never raised a bull that looks this good and his rst calves are arguably the most exciting sire group born this fall. Birth weights were good (75-89 pounds) and they are already showing the outstanding rib shape of their sire. We have two full sisters in production and they not only look great, but their udders are perfect. I chose to add this bull to the look book to introduce him and tell you about our plans for him. He will be at Cattlemans Congress and the rst semen will be o ered at the Red Revolution sale. If you are interested in semen to use in December, give us a call and we will try to help you with that. Next he is headed to the Iowa Beef Expo to make a bid for the supreme champion. He will be o ered for sale retaining 1/2 semen rights. This is an outcross bull with a 'show ring' phenotype. I plan to breed our 'copperhead' heifers to him thinking we can produce some percentage red show heifers. Before we leave the discussion I am compelled to say that his foot structure is fantastic~!~ I know I shouldn't brag but I want you to know how much I appreciate having such a bull in our program. One more thing, This bull came to the ranch as an embryo we purchased from Darryl Rohdes. I miss him. He was one that helped us from the very start.

MR TUBBS is working for us. His rst bull calves are thick topped and easy to look at. His heifers are feminine and bold ribbed. His muscle structure is super power level. She is due in November to a Brown Fantastic x Mitty in Focus bull. We will be o ering an IVF ush on her at the Red Revolution Sale at Cattleman's Congress. PIE FAYE 3017 4865468 was the high selling replacement heifer in the Spring Pieper Red Angus sale and we bought her~!~ I have never been more excited than I was when with Teresa's encouragement we made the winning bid at $9750. Tate helped us by buying 4 Identity x Icona embryos. That is exciting as well thinking we may have some of our genetics at Peipers some day. We took the money we planned to spend on three old cows and put it in our rst choice replacement. Faye went to Cross Country Genetics last Spring and produced 8 IDENTITY x FAYE embryos that resulted in six possibly seven pregnancies. One of the heifer pregnant recip cows is going to the Red Revolution sale. Next we bred her to our new herd sire BARU DE MAGIC 908-321L. In addition we IVF ushed her to BIEBER JUMP START, That ush resulted in 9 frozen embryos. Three of those will be o ered at the Red Revolution sale. We are o ering 3 private treaty for 1000$ each. This cow brings BROWN CRSB CONFIDENCE G1410 and KJL/CLZB COMPLETE 7000E to the ranch. I love new genetics and the potential it brings to us and our customers ~!~

This stud is one we raised out of 'My Lifes Delight' aka 'Reno' and our all time favorite mare Tess. We are now partnered with Colette and Jim Stoudt. They purchased him and are continuing to show him. He just won 10th place at the AQHA world show in the Sr Healing. Jamie Stover is showing him along with Jim. Jim told me a while back he is really fun to rope on. I got to show him once before we sold him and I could catch! He is fast to the cow and puts you in the right place to rope consistently. People like this horse and it is not hard to understand why.
His colts are fantastic. We sold a yearling last year for our all time high of 6700$. His oldest foals are 3years old. We have started a two year old this fall at the ranch and she is doing great! The only thing we have to be careful of with our two year old "Cowgirl' is that she sometimes decides to chase a cow without being asked. Her nickname is 'Easy".
There is no limit to how excited we are about this horse. His superpower is making good minded cow horses that are easy to train. If you want a ranch horse that will be a favorite, Black Lite will do that for you.
We will be accepting mares for the 2025 breeding season and plan to have frozen semen available.
