about/ FVS

Ienvironment have grown up in Germany in a conservative and scientific which let me develop my creativity to break through the strict boundaries. My father handed me down his deep fascination for Nature; as a biologist he guided me to the discovery of the magic world of living organisms.

When I established myself as an artist in Maastricht, the Netherlands, I reconnected with this enchantment.

The relation and the interaction between human constructed neighborhood and seemingly uncultivated Nature, inspires me. The ties between us, humans, and the natural structures surrounding us fascinate me and leads me to an interpretation of Nature, in my work, as a powerful force that deserves respect, rather than one in need of protection.

My creations translate the power lines of flora and fauna into abstract geometries, embodying both strength and beauty of wildlife in its simplest form, sometimes to the edge of recognition.

The lines in my work are clear-cut and simplified; my hand-crafted approach creates unique pieces, each with their own specific personality.

The diversity of my work reflects the variety in nature.

I aim for a fine balance between arithmetic designer, working craftsman and environmentally engaged artist.

To be able to share with you the result of my work, a continuously growing collection of pieces were brought together in this book.

It has been a pleasure and a privilege to make them.
