Sustainability Education Workshop Initiative
In summer of 2020, TISED launched a new initiative aimed at developing educational content on sustainability for a variety of undergraduate courses in the Faculty of Engineering. Named the Sustainability Education Workshops Initiative (SEWI), the goal of SEWI is to develop educational learning modules that can be offered to students in a workshop format. These modules would also be made available to professors within the Faculty who wish to include some sustainability content in their existing (or new) courses.

The SEWI recipients have developed the workshop content and a planning meeting was held in November 2021. Based on the discussions, it was decided that; a) the workshops would be best delivered back-to-back as a series, preferably over a week in the summer, and b) the inaugural offering of the workshop series should be targeted at a small cohort of approximately 20-25 students.
The inaugural delivery of the workshop series is planned for the summer 2022 semester.
