Research and Policy
The Trottier Chair in Sustainable Engineering and Design conducts leading-edge climate research and continues to have significant influence on climate research and on adaptation strategies of private and public bodies. Over the last year, the Trottier Chair, continued to promote interdisciplinary research to address today’s grand challenges. For example, Prof. Sushama led a research effort on the impact of COVID-19-related traffic slowdown on urban heat characteristics, using Montreal as a case study in collaboration with Environment and Climate Change Canada and other TISED members.
