Water Conservation

TISB is an environmentally friendly campus. The onsite Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) is used to water the campus grounds by treating the wastewater from the BIH, GIH, Staff Quarters, Cafeteria, Academic Block and the Auditorium. Solar water heaters are used to heat the water for students’ showers.

The school has numerous rainwater-harvesting pits fitted in catchment areas around the campus The pits stop the rainwater from flowing away, and the caught water is directed to fill the groundwater level. You will see the catchments near the staff quarters, adjacent to the walkway, covered by trees

Bore wells are the only source of water for the campus and therefore water conservation is a high priority for the school and your co-operation is vital.
