Designing and planning a new home can be challenging, while at the same time one of the most rewarding experiences you can achieve in a lifetime! If you’re like most, this could be the first home you’ve built, or it could be one of many already completed.

Regardless of experience, the build process involves numerous steps and requires the specialised services of several suitably qualified individuals to ensure that all documentation is developed to meet current building codes and standards.

With Kitome’s Design & Planning Services, we take care of procuring specialised reports and plans that are required to produce the construction drawings for the home that you’ve already created with your Kitome Design Consultant, so you don’t have to!

Our Design & Planning Services includes the following:

Construction drawings set

• General notes & specifications

• Building floor plan

• Four building elevations shown over natural and / or excavated ground lines

• Sub-floor framing plan (if floor kit is supplied)

• Bushfire requirements summary (if BAL affected)

• Building sections

• Exterior finish details

• Lighting layout drawing

• External window & door schedule

• Wet area requirements

• Basix / energy efficiency certificate

Site layout plan

• Plotting of proposed dwelling over site’s natural contour lines

• Building orientation in relation to north face

• Boundary setbacks

• Driveway provisions (if required)

• Display of finished floor level (FFL*)

• Property address

• Scale / sheet size

• Drawing / revision number

*FFL must be determined by owner/builder.
