Parish Church Lotto Draw Results

Fethard Annual Carol Service was overflowing with festive cheer Holy Trinity Church of Ireland was overflowing with festive cheer and good fellowship at the annual Carol Service on Sunday, December 22. A packed congregation of over 230 people mostly made up of people from the local community came along to sing Christmas carols, listen to music, hear the readings, and enjoy hospitality laid on by the parishioners. The church was adorned with candles, cones and seasonal greenery which befitted the ambience of the Medieval Church. The service was due to be taken by Heidi Good from Kilkenny but unfortunately, she proved positive in a Covid test that afternoon, so we greatly appreciated that her father stepped in at the last moment to lead the service. The congregation were delighted that the Strappe family of traditional musicians, came along to perform a combination of Christmas carols and songs which had some of the congregation singing along. Fethard Choral Society with musical director Ann Barry were also present, and sang beautiful renditions of the Little Drummer Boy, God’s Gift at Christmas and O Holy Night,
There was no jackpot winner in this week’s Parish Lotto on Thursday, December 19, 2024. The numbers drawn were 8, 14, 15, and 19. The winner of the weekly draw for €30 was Kate Horan. There was no jackpot winner in the Parish Lotto on Thursday, December 26, 2024. The numbers drawn were 4, 15, 18, and 22. The winner of the weekly draw for €30 was Patricia Treacy. Next week’s Jackpot for Thursday, January 2, 2025, will be €5,000. We are delighted with the support shown for our Parish Lotto, it is a fundraising initiative that is of great benefit to the parish. Please pass the word on and invite friends and family to take part.

Fethard GAA Sports Christmas Lotto draw results for December 20, 2024, are as follows: the numbers drawn were: 3, 18, 19 and 34. We had no Jackpot winner and three Match 3 winner who received €50 each: Colm Hackett, Tara Needham, and Lilly Tobin. Ten ‘Christmas’ lucky dip winners who received €100 each: Michael Moroney, Orla Murphy, Aoife Walsh, Michael Burke, Fiona Spillane, Lee Ryan, Matilde Kvisla, Eoghan Hurley, Joedy Sheehan, Sharon O’Meara. The next draw takes place on Tuesday, December 31, 2024, when the jackpot is €30,000. The committee of Fethard GAA Development Lotto would like to thank all our supporters for the continued support.

Christmas Split the Pot draw raised €4,100 for the Dillon Quirke Foundation A huge thank you for all the support received for Fethard Ladies Football Club in this year’s Charity Christmas Split the Pot draw, where on Sunday night of the club draw, we raised €4,100 for the Dillon Quirke Foundation We were blown away with the generosity shown by everyone who supported us and the occasion itself went far beyond our little club as our 1st Prize winner Fethard man Paul Fogarty-Brown now resides in the United States of America. The club would like to especially thank our ‘Special Guest’ on the night, Dillon Quirke’s father Dan, who spoke of the work that is being done within the foundation to safeguard our future stars. Community Playgroup Limited spaces are now available at Fethard Community Playgroup for afternoon sessions. Sessions start at 12 noon and end at 3pm. Children who have reached their third birthday by 31st December, 2024, are eligible for the free three hours per day. The death has occurred on Tuesday, 24th December, 2024, of Antra Kistochkina, Coolmore, Fethard, peacefully, surrounded by her loving family and friends, in the excellent care of the staff of St. Vincent’s Hospital, Dublin, after a long and courageous battle with illness. Beloved wife of Sergiy Kistochkin, devoted mother to Adriana and Daniel, cherished daughter of Dzintra and Arnis, daughter-in-law of Tamara and Victor, much loved sister of Ingus, and sister-in-law of Yuriy and Vitaly. She was a loving aunt to her nephew Markus and nieces Toma and Sofia. Antra will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her
heartbroken husband, children, parents, brother, godsons, extended family, neighbours and friends. Funeral Mass took place at Holy Trinity Parish Church, Fethard, on Sunday, 29th December, followed by burial in Calvary Cemetery. May her gentle soul rest in peace.
