Mr Billy Kane presenting the ‘John Keane Memorial Under-12 Cup’ in memory of his son, to Noel Byrne, Chairman Tipperary Schoolboys Southern and District League on May 11, 2005. The perpetual cup was awarded to the winners of the inaugural Tipperary Under-12 Schoolboys Cup final between Clonmel Town and St. Michaels, played on the same day, and won by Clonmel Town, who beat St. Michaels 2-0.

Members of FÁS, who have been instrumental in the success of the project since the start, were also present. The Civic Reception was awarded in recognition of Brú Ború Centre’s contribution to the presentation and development of Irish Culture.
