1. Energy required to manufacture plastic: - From oil to PET resin: 4.38 kgCO2e per kilogram of PET resin or 4.38/0.744 = 5.887 kwh

1 kwh electricity is equipvalent to 0.744 kgCO2e

2. Energy required to manufacture plastic bottles: - From resin to PET bottles: 0.23 kgCO2e per kilogram of PET bottles or 0.23/0.744 = 0.309 kwh

3. Energy required to process water - From tap water after ultrafiltration filter: 100kwh/million liters of purified water

4. Energy required to process cleaning, filling, testing, labeling...

- The total energy required to clean, fill, seal, label and package bottle water is around: 14 MJ (thermal) or 42 MJ (electrical) / 1000 bottles = 11.634 kwh / 1000 bottles.

5. Energy required to transport bottled water The following energy transportation cost required to transport 1 ton of cargo per 10 kilometer distance

0.055 kgCO2e per ton of cargo per 10km or 0.055/0.744 = 0.074 kwh

6. Energy to cool water before use It is estimated that the energy to cool 1 liter of water at 17C and maintain that temperature 1 week requires 349kwh / m3 of water
