Tin Cans VS. Plastic Recycling
Recycling is a superbly important aspect when it comes to packaging. Mostly, consumers recycle products made of tin than plastic ones. In fact, there is a visible gap between tin and plastic in the percentage of recycling products made of them.
Plastic containers are more likely to contain approximately 3% of the recycled plastic material. However, a tin container typically has around 25% of recycled materials. Even more so, with recycled steel, there is a great decrease in carbon emissions. Up to as much as a 9% drop in carbon emissions.

Tin and plastic materials need to undergo multiple steps such as material extraction, processing, and refinery to reach their final production state.
In doing so, forests and the ecosystem endure destruction and wildlife habitats under siege. Leaving all surrounding areas inundated with toxins being released from the mining process. It is important to note that production methods don’t exclude chemicals and release toxic byproducts every time.
