FREE ONLINE CULTURE COURSE FOR ACTIVE DUTY PERSONNEL

The Air Force Culture and Language Center offers a free online distance learning course, “Introduction to Culture (ITC)”, for active duty AF personnel. The course earns three semester hours of program elective credit and fulfills residency credit towards the CCAF degree. The registration/enrollment window opens 9 MAR 21 and closes on 15 MAR 21, or when full. The 14 week course starts on 1 APR 21 and ends on 14 JUL 21. ACCESSING HIGHER EDUCATION BRIEIFNG

Interested in learning everything you ever wanted to know about continuing your education? We are here to help! The Education Services Center provides a “College 101 – Accessing Higher Education” briefing, offered the second week of each month. Topics covered include comparing military and civilian education programs; identifying a potential career or degree; factors for choosing an institution; requirements for admission; funding sources (including GI Bill), and more! This briefing is beneficial for those beginning their education or those who plan to continue their education after leaving the service. We will tailor the content to fit the needs of our participants through interactive activities and instruction over the course of the 1-day workshop. PARK UNIVERSITY

Park University can help you navigate the process from admissions to graduation. We offer a diverse number of degree programs for undergrads at the Tinker AFB campus. We have five 8-week terms annually, offer varied instructional modalities, and have seasoned professional faculty that are employed in their respected subject matter with real-life experience. THE UNIVERSITY OF OKLAHOMA

Enrollment for the University of Oklahoma’s summer semester is underway. Enrollment begins on 1 MAR 21 for the summer, and you don’t want to miss it! OU will host two classes on Tinker Air Force Base for the Summer 2021 term, one course is to be determined but HR 5093-106: Introduction to Graduate Studies in Human Relations will begin on 24 MAY 21. Tinker Golf Club

18 holes of gently rolling golf is enjoyable for riding and walking alike. The layout presents itself with all trouble easily visible to the golfer except for the pond and nearly island green on number 15, that can’t be seen from the tee. It is a fun course to play for all ages. From juniors to seniors and everybody between. The friendliness and camaraderie is unmatched. Don’t have a group? We will help find you great people to play with.

We also have a driving range and practice area to help hone your skills, including group and individual lessons for all ages.

Our pricing structure makes Tinker more affordable than most courses in the area. We will never make you feel you are still at work, so come by for a quick nine before going home for the day. Our relaxed and welcoming atmosphere will make your round fun and relaxing.

Leagues- several leagues participate during the week. If you work in one of these areas join in the fun.

Squadron Tournaments– Bring your event to the course. We host many events throughout the year. With your event we provide shotgun starts for larger groups , scoring , cart name recognition for players and beverage services.

Monthly Fun Tournaments– Have you ever putted in a sand trap or played 18 par 3’s in one round? How about holes ranging up to 1000 yards long? At Tinker you can do this and more by participating in our “fun” monthly events.

Family Tees– A shorter course for young and beginning golfers. These forward tees marked on the cart paths on the front nine provide young and beginning golfers the same chance at par as more experienced players from regular tees.

Soccer Golf– Still available on our front nine if you aren’t really into regular golf but like soccer. Friends can play mixed matches of golf and soccer golf.

Current dress code– No vulgar shirts. Uniforms can be worn on the range and putting green but not on the course. Only golf or tennis shoes may be worn. No boots, cleats other than golf. No cutoff shorts. Superintendent’s Revenge
