Youth Center Membership Program

The Youth Center Membership Program is $60 a year per child ($50 if you sign up in the month of December) and open to youth 10-18 years of age who are dependents of active duty military, retirees, DoD civilians, and contractors. The program includes Power Hour, Fit Factor, Smart Girls, Passport to Manhood, Career Launch, Money Matters, Fine Arts, Arts and Crafts, computer and internet access (monitored), a variety of video games and consoles, and much more on a daily basis. During the summer a variety of weekly day camps are available.

Before & After School Care (K-5th Grade)

Transportation to/from: – Parkview Elementary – Soldier Creek Elementary – Barnes Elementary – Schwartz Elementary – Mid West City Elementary – Steed Elementary

Program Clubs:

– Torch Club: Ages 10-12 – Keystone Club: Ages 13-18

Tinker AFB Youth Programs are for ages 5-18 (ages 3-4 for Start Smart Sports Programs) and is affiliated with the Boys & Girls Clubs of America (BGCA).

Tinker Youth participate in the BGCA’s Five Programs:

-- Education and Career Development -- The Arts -- Health and Life Skills -- Character and Leadership Development -- Sports, Fitness, and Recreation.

4-H Programs

The Youth Center also offers three 4-H programs throughout the year. The goal of 4-H programming is to develop growth and development in the four essential elements (Belonging, Mastery, Independence, and Generosity). The Oklahoma County 4-H Extension Office, Oklahoma 4-H Military Liaison, and Tinker Youth Center work closely to offer a variety of projects/programming.

MilitaryChildCare.com (MCC) is an exciting initiative that was launched at Tinker AFB in August of 2017. MCC is a Department of Defense website for military families seeking child care. It enables families to search for and request care, manage their requests, and update their profile online, making it easier for families to find the child care they need.

Daily Membership Activity Clubs

Mon – Fri: 4 pm - 5 pm Information available at the Youth Center.

Youth Dance Class

$50 a month for 1 class per week. Additional $60 recital fee and this will cover the recital costume. Dance classes will offer free trial classes the first week of each month. Classes offered are: Ballet/Tap and Hip Hop. Classes are for children ages 3-18 and are 50 minutes long.

Youth Martial Arts

$55 a month for 2 classes per week. (3rd child in a family is free). Private Lessons: $50 per 1 hr session. Martial Arts is offering free trial classes for the first 2 classes of each month.

Kuk Sool Won is a Korean system of highly effective fighting techniques that teaches body throws, joint locks, break falls and pressure point exploitation as well as hand and foot striking techniques. Kuk Sool Won is a well-rounded martial art that increases your fitness, flexibility, balance and mental focus as you learn self-defense.

Uniform/Lifetime Membership: $100 one-time cost. – Uniform includes all patches sewn and white belt – World Kuk Sool Association (WKSA) membership valid for ALL KSW school world-wide – Testing Fees: $40 for full belt promotion. Includes new belt and promotion certificate. – There is no charge for stripe promotions.

Before the end of the first month of instruction, a fee of $100 will be charged for the full uniform, belt and lifetime membership to the WKSA. Other fees may be charged for belt testing, seminars, tournaments and additional equipment as required.

Instructor will provide positive guidance while teaching the traditional Korean martial art style of KUK SOOL WON. Program curriculum will be in accordance with the World Kuk Sool Association (WKSA). The instructor and school is fully licensed by the WKSA. Instruction will be tailored to the age group in each particular class. The instructor will work with each student to help them become better global citizens through the study of martial arts. Other associated programs available are Stranger Danger, Bully-Proofing, and Women’s Self Defense. Other specialty programs and private lessons may also be provided on request. Additional activities include participation in tournaments, special seminars and belt testing.

Youth Sports

All youth sports programs are $60 for youth ages 5-12 and the Start Smart for youth ages 3-4 is $75 (starter kit included).

Child Development Program

The Child Development Program is conveniently located in three separate facilities. The centers provide quality developmental care for children ages 6 weeks to 5 years by certified and well-trained child care providers. The programs offered include full-day and hourly care. Children of active-duty military, DoD civilians, reservists and contractors assigned to Tinker are eligible to participate. The child development programs are DOD certified and nationally accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC).
