ACCESSING HIGHER EDUCATION BRIEIFNG
Interested in learning everything you ever wanted to know about continuing your education? We are here to help! The Education Services Center provides a 2-day “College 101 – Accessing Higher Education” briefing, offered the second week of each month. Topics covered include comparing military and civilian education programs; identifying a potential career or degree; factors for choosing an institution; requirements for admission; funding sources (including GI-Bill), and more! This briefing is beneficial for those beginning their education or those who plan to continue their education after leaving the service. We will tailor the content to fit the needs of our participants through interactive activities and instruction over the course of the day workshop. Participants are encouraged to sign up approximately one month in advance as space fills quickly. COMMUNITY COLLEGE OF THE AIR FORCE (CCAF) DEADLINE NEARING
Are you planning to complete your Community College of the Air Force (CCAF) degree in time for the October 2021 Graduation? If so, please keep in mind that you need to have official transcripts from the schools(s) where you’ve taken classes sent directly to CCAF immediately in order to meet the nomination deadline on 27 AUG 21. Official transcripts should be sent directly to CCAF @ CCAF/DESS, 100 South Turner Blvd, Maxwell-Gunter AFB, Alabama, 36114-3011. Credits must be posted in order to be nominated for degree completion. Once credits have posted and all requirements show completed, contact an education counselor at (405) 739- 7408 to request to be nominated for degree completion. This is not an automatic process. You must request to be nominated
for degree completion. If you should miss the fall deadline, please keep in mind that degrees are awarded throughout the year. If you are unsure of whether or not you have completed the requirements for your CCAF degree, logon to the AFVEC and click on “CCAF Student Services” or stop by the Education Services Center (Bldg. 201SE) for assistance.

Tinker Golf Club
18 holes of gently rolling golf is enjoyable for riding and walking alike. The layout presents itself with all trouble easily visible to the golfer except for the pond and nearly island green on number 15, that can’t be seen from the tee. It is a fun course to play for all ages. From juniors to seniors and everybody between. The friendliness and camaraderie is unmatched. Don’t have a group? Family Tees– A shorter course for young and beginning golfers. These forward tees marked on the cart paths on the front nine provide young and beginning golfers the same chance at par as more experienced players from regular tees.
Soccer Golf– Still available on our front nine if you aren’t really into regular golf but like soccer. Friends can play mixed matches of golf and soccer golf.
