As I put pen to paper the decision over Brexit has been made, the world is watching the spread of coronavirus with bated breath and the UK is filling up with water! In this ever-changing and unpredictable world it can be difficult to plan and develop, however I'm happy to say that it is most definitely business as usual across the Tingdene Group.
As we move not only into a new year, but also a new decade, we have some very exciting projects and acquisitions in the pipeline, as well as many other developments and opportunities to grow and strengthen the business for the future.
Wanting to share the key news, updates and happenings across the group with you we've put together this newsletter to bring you up to speed. And with even more projects on the horizon, we’ll be back to you in due course. Thank you for your continued support, I hope you find it an interesting read.

The Only Way Is Essex
With planning permission now granted for over 100 new homes on the Sacketts Grove site in Clacton-on-Sea, Tingdene Residential Parks will be heading down to the seaside in the summer to start work on the site. New plots are expected to be released in the autumn so potential residents can move in ready for Christmas!

As part of our dealership we have also recently appointed a new sub-dealer to cover the Lake District, North of England and Scotland, as Shepherds of Windermere join the ever-expanding network of UK dealers.

New faces
To help with the ever-increasing demands of our growing business we’re pleased to announce two new appointments to the Tingdene Group. Ethan Zone takes on the role of Associate Director of Strategy and Growth, whilst Natalie Reeder joins the team as Group Human Resources Manager. Both Ethan and Natalie come with a wealth of experience in each of their fields and will help strengthen the team as we continue to expand the business throughout the next decade. We look forward to welcoming them onboard this March.

Extending Our Horizons
We received some great news for Broadlands towards the end of 2019 as planning permission was granted for us to extend the marina, which is an integral part of our very successful Broadlands Holiday Village run by Tingdene Lifestyle. Work is soon to begin on the development which will see the installation of new, full service pontoons and first-rate facilities for both our existing and new berth holders.
The expansion will take the total number of berths available at Broadlands to 150 and will open the marina up to a wider range of craft. Being perfectly positioned for discovering The Broads, plus venturing off to the North Sea, the investment in infrastructure will help position the marina as a premier destination for both river and sea-going vessels in the region.

Ready for Action at Redcar
Unlocking the potential of this peaceful beachside resort, the acquisition of additional land at the front of Redcar Beach Holiday Park means we are now able to provide space for a further 30 holiday caravans on the site. Reuse And Recycle
As we continue to promote our green credentials, as well as improving facilities for our berth holders, Hartford Marina near Huntingdon has seen its berthing capacity increase as over 400 meters of aluminium pontoon is installed. Previously used for the visitors at Southampton Boat Show, the recycled pontoons will accommodate 79 narrowboats/ widebeams and 29 cruisers with full services berths: electricity, water and WiFi.

This spring sees a further 10 Aedis units arriving at Broadlands Holiday Village in Oulton Broad. Following on from the success of the previous development the new two-bedroom, semi-detached units give us the opportunity to further expand our offering on the site. SuperCup Sponsorship
Tingdene Marinas and Boat Sales will once again be sponsoring Scott McKenna as he hopes to become the Ginetta GT4 SuperCup champion for 2020. Following on from his success last year, as the Ginetta GT5 Challenge champion, Scott is looking forward to getting started this spring. His first race of the season is at Donington Park, 28-29th March. The race will be broadcast live on ITV, so please keep an eye out for the Tingdene Marinas and Boat Sales logo both on
As an added bonus, Scott is now following in the footsteps of Lewis Hamilton and others by being selected as one of the prestigious British Racing Drivers Club 'Rising Stars' young drivers.
