2026/27
A year of growth, community, and new horizons.
As we reflect on 2025, it stands out as a landmark year for Tingdene Marinas & Boat Sales. We were delighted to welcome two new marinas and boat sales offices into the group, our first on the River Trent (Farndon Marina) and our first in Scotland (Holy Loch Marina), marking an important milestone in our continued growth. You can read more about these exciting additions on pages 54 and 58.
Community remains at the heart of everything we do, and this will continue into 2026. From berth holder gatherings and Cruising Club trips to seasonal celebrations, golf days and cinema nights, our marinas will once again be vibrant hubs of activity throughout the boating season, alongside our presence at key events including Crick and Southampton Boat Shows.
With a network now spanning 12 marinas, we look forward to building on this momentumstrengthening our communities, growing our boat sales offering, and continuing to create welcoming marinas for berth holders and visitors alike. We are excited for the season ahead and all that it will bring. Happy boating to all!

Set along the peaceful banks of the River Trent near Newark, Farndon Marina celebrates its 60th anniversary this year, marking six decades as a valued part of the local boating community. From its early beginnings, the marina has grown alongside the river, shaped by changing boating lifestyles and a shared love of life on the water.
The River Trent has long played an important role in the area’s history, serving as a working waterway for trade and transport before gradually becoming a place for leisure and recreation. As boating became more accessible in the mid-20th century, Farndon Marina was established to meet the needs of a growing number of boaters looking for safe, well-serviced moorings on this stretch of the river.

Over the years, the marina has continued to develop, adding improved facilities and services while retaining its friendly, relaxed atmosphere. Generations of boaters have made Farndon their home on the water, creating a close-knit community that remains at the heart of the marina today.
In recent years, Farndon Marina has evolved into more than just a place to berth a boat. With a popular café, onsite businesses and regular social activity, it has become a welcoming destination for both boaters and visitors alike. As Farndon Marina marks 60 years by the River Trent, it celebrates not just its history, but the people, stories and shared moments that have shaped it along the way.

Set on the banks of the River Thames in Walton-onThames, Rosewell’s Boathouse, now home to Walton Marina, will celebrate its 130th anniversary in 2026. Walton’s connection to the Thames stretches back to the 18th century, when the river was a vital route for transporting goods to and from London. The construction of Sunbury Lock and weir made the river easier to navigate and helped shape future development, and it was during this period that the Rosewell family established their boathouse, building punts and skiffs in a wooden structure with river access, boat building space and a balcony overlooking the water.
As leisure boating grew in popularity, the site adapted. Later known as Eastwoods, it introduced motorboat

moorings, and in the 1960s the Cook family dredged the natural backwater to create 150 new berths. This expansion marked the birth of Walton Marina and made it one of the first Thames marinas to use a natural backwater setting.
Since Tingdene Marinas took over management in 2008, Walton Marina has continued to modernise, becoming more than just a place to moor boats. Today it is a lively waterside destination, home to marine businesses, social events and a strong community of Thames boaters. From its early beginnings to the present day, Walton Marina’s story is one of change, community and a lasting connection to the river, making it a fitting milestone to celebrate 130 years on the water.

Tingdene’s Upton Marina and Brundall Bay Marina are both proud members of the TransEurope Marinas group, giving our berth holders even more freedom to explore. Membership offers a 50% saving on visitor mooring fees for up to five consecutive days at over 70 participating marinas across the UK and Europe.
Whether you’re planning a relaxed coastal cruise, a longer European adventure, or simply enjoy visiting new harbours, TransEurope membership makes travelling by boat more affordable and flexible. It’s a great way to discover new destinations, enjoy quality marina facilities, and feel part of a wider boating community.
The Yacht Harbour Association’s Clean Marinas Accreditation recognises marinas demonstrating strong environmental responsibility, promoting sustainability and protecting waterways. The scheme encourages high standards in waste management, pollution prevention, and energy efficiency, helping preserve the natural environment for both boaters and wildlife.
For berth holders and visitors, staying at a Clean Marina means a safe, tidy, environmentally conscious setting, with cleaner waters, well-maintained facilities, and a positive impact on the local ecosystem.
Tingdene's Racecourse Marina Windsor and Upton Marina have both been awarded 'Clean Marina' status, reflecting our commitment to sustainability.

Gold Anchor Awards, presented by The Yacht Harbour Association, recognise marinas that meet high standards in facilities, operations and customer service. The scheme helps boaters choose where to moor, with marinas rated from one to five Gold Anchors - the more Gold Anchors, the higher the quality and service.
The assessment process is thorough and independent, including a ‘mystery shopping’ element, feedback from berth holders, and endorsement by the Royal Yachting Association (RYA). This ensures that every Gold Anchor marina consistently delivers a safe, welcoming, and high-quality environment for boaters.
For our berth holders and visitors, staying at a Gold Anchor marina means peace of mind, knowing you’ll enjoy excellent facilities, helpful staff, and a well-maintained marina community. It also makes trip planning easier, as the Gold Anchor rating gives a clear guide to the standards you can expect.
Tingdene Marinas are proud to be part of the Gold Anchors Scheme at five marinas:
RACECOURSE MARINA
THAMES & KENNET MARINA
BRUNDALL BAY MARINA
UPTON MARINA
STOURPORT MARINA
