How does the Xchange Controller work?

The change of colour temperature and independent light intensity is achieved by mixing the output of two groups of LEDs. One group has a warm colour temperature and the other has a cool colour temperature. Changing the light output of these two groups allows to colour temperature to vary seamlessly between these two values.

Control Technologies Ultrasonic

Fills the entire room and also detects movement around objects.Actively emitted from the sensor, ultrasonic waves (40 kHz) spread throughout the respective room. They envelop objects that are present in the room and permeate into every last corner. This means that the sensor can even detect movement if there is no visual contact between it and the person.Ultrasonic sensors are the perfect solution for open-plan offices and rooms with stud walls. Ultrasonic waves do not penetrate thin walls and are highly sensitive.

High frequency

Can even see through thin walls.As an active system, the HF module emits electromagnetic waves and receives the echo reflected by walls and object at a frequency of 5.8 GHz. Any movement in the detection zone causes the echo to change and triggers a switch signal within a fraction of a second. The HF sensor operates irrespectively of ambient temperature and walking direction. No matter whether you approach the sensor from the front or side – the detection quality is always superb. HF waves penetrate panes of glass and stud walls.

Passive infrared

Responds to moving sources of heat.

The built-in pyro sensors respond to a change in infrared heat radiated within a defined detection zone - for example, when anyone enters the areas they are monitoring.Infrared detectors are the all-rounders when it comes to monitoring large areas such as warehouses, courtyard entrances or sports halls. They can provide a reach of up to 20 m and be mounted at heights of up to 14 m. They work reliably in damp, cold weather. Giving the highest detection quality.

This evaluation can be used in conjunction with the built-in humidity and temperature sensor to control lighting, heating and air-conditioning in line with demand. This is how it works The presence detector (1) controls light (2) in the office in relation to movement and ambient light level.

This is where ultrasonic sensor technology is ideal for rooms with pendant lights or obstructed sensor vision. Ultrasonic sensors fill the entire room and also detect movement around objects.

This is how it works In addition to the HF sensor, this innovative sensor-switched indoor light also comes with a sensor for measuring the ambient light level.

The light switches ON in response to detected movements and the level of ambient light that is measured.

Areas in which nobody is present are illuminated at a basic light level of 10 – 50 %.

Via the DALI bus (broadcast), the sensor switched light can be connected to slaveluminaires that have no sensor of their own but only a DALI ballast and lamp.

The overall group includes all of the sensor- and slave lights physically connected to the DALI bus.

When the system is in swarm mode, only those lights within directly neighbouring subgroups are switched ON.
