PAUL HAMILTON: ALL SEASONS
Landscapes and Still Lifes

INTRODUCTION
We are pleased that Paul Hamilton is having his second one person exhibition at Keny Galleries. He graduated from Columbus College of Art and Design, with particularly fine instruction by Nathaniel Larrabee, and has exhibited in prominent galleries in New York, Maine, Vermont, Martha’s Vineyard, Montana and throughout the Midwest for decades.
Paul is able to capture the light, temperature, wind and cadence of the land and flora he paints with fine draftsmanship, command of composition, and deft brushwork. His deep sensitivity to nature in all its guises lends a tranquility to his art that complements his technical excellence to fully engage the viewer.
His painterly, simplified still lifes evoke the essence of the colors, textures, and forms of the flowers he depicts. His compositions are spare in order to focus ones attention on the expressive hues, tactile qualities, and sensitive lyricism of the flowers he paints which lend a unique presence to them.
Paul Hamilton’s iconic commission for the James Cancer Center and Solove Research Institute was discussed very positively by Peter Tonguette in the February, 2025 issue of ColumbusMonthly in the “Creative Space” section. Paul is also looking forward to teaching his well regarded art classes again.
Jim and I look forward to enjoying his vital seasonal landscapes and still lifes with you.
